Danny Marino has always been an interesting figure to me. I know there was a plan in place to take out Gotti Sr and Deccico by the Genovese & Luchesse and to install Jimmy Brown and Marino as the new heads of the family. So it's fair to say he wasn't a fan of Gotti Sr or maybe him and Gotti were able to smooth things out as time went along as with Nicky Corrozzo. It looks like he still is a major force in the family by his appearance at the Gambino funeral.

Yes. He's a former acting boss from 2008 to about 2011, on a 3 man ruling panel. I don't think Marino andthe Gotti's made up. JR. Gotti almost had Marino whacked in around 1991. Marino was smart he rented a limo for the meeting. With civillian limo driver there In case anything went wrong. Lol he is pretty smart. Also I think he was planning with others to whack Jr.later on.

Yea Gotti Jr was another story. It seems from his book that he was fully aware that Watts, Marino, and Failla did not like him and were out to kill him. Didonato also mentioned in his book that Nicky Corrozzo also had plans to take out Gotti Jr. I never understood the rivalry between Gotti and Corrozzo he seemed to be very close with his brother JoJo.
