This looks horrible as expected . travolta as gotti. No way they shud have found a better fit . Assante nailed it in the hbo version and even though u wouldnt use him again there was a better fit than Travolta ( frank vincent would have been a good fit ) . Ill go c just sbout any mob movie this one i might wait till it hits cAble lol

The mob novice will no doubt really enjoy this movie , but for people who have knowledge on the mob like the people on this forum , I don't think the movie will be enjoyable . I get a feeling people who watch it with knowledge on this subject will just pick the movie to bits and won't enjoy it

Is it a tv movie? I assumed with Travolta starring they would try and put it in theaters. The guy who played E on Entourage directed it.

I had no hope for this movie when i first heard about it and that Travolta was playing Gotti. But after watching the trailer,i gotta admit,it looks ahell of alot better than i ever thought it could. I will give it a watch and yeah the Gotti story is kind of worn out and he was a disaster as a boss but he was one cool mother fucker and had charisma,thats the reason books and movies come out about him. I would love to see movies about other mob guys but unless you know about the shit like we do it aint gonna happen. The regular people out there dont know who the fuck Tommy Karate is or Roy Demeo,probably be a Gravano movie in the next few years depicting him as an American hero.

The 1996 movie also portrayed Gotti as an antihero. His only flaw in that movie was his desire for publicity. They portray Sammy as the one who desires and carries out revenge for Frank Gotti's death. Gotti even says it's "one world" when comparing doctors of different races. They also portray Gotti as being against selling drugs. They did the same thing with Gravano in his movie. As a result, Gotti portrays Gravano more accurately and Wotness to the Mob portrays Gotti more accurately.

Haha This is based on a clean the slate semi fiction (omitted Mob facts )book by Gotti JR after a book by Alite outed JR with a 302 proffer , And people bashing of JR's father for years of how he ruined the Gambinos , I am sure Gotti JR has some real great gangster stories to tell but he wanted to clean the slate of the RAT tag and his fathers incompetence Also his sisters growing up Gotti embarrassment , So it ends up in this half baked movie.. Saturday night fever meets Al Capone , ...............Ill take a knee
