Re: Parrello pleads guilty
What bullshit.
A 73yr old sentenced for 7yrs for essentially running a gambling ring.
What's that work out to? 20yrs for a 40yr old?
For Gambling.
And let's be real here for a second. People are going to cry violence associated with his charges.
He had his guys kick shit out of a bum hassling women attending his restaurant.
Let's put ourselves in that situation for a second, anyone here walking their mother to their car after dinner wouldn't do the same to someone assaulting her?
Seriously.
In terms of relative value in crimes in society that's worth 7yrs of a 73yr old mans life?
Go down to Atlantic city and it's on the government and punch a drunk in the face for hassling your wife and you get a tax discount and a warning.
Do it in the Bronx as an old man and you get seven years.
If nothing else the government can't cry consistency.

What is he supposed to say?Teddy Persico wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2017 5:02 pm That's funny how Porrello used the exact same sentencing strategy as at his last rackeeting trial.
Sentence me to the least amount of time possible so I can go back to committing crimes?

I have yet to see any mention of Zinzi's sentencing. He was also facing similar charges of violent acts.

Re: Parrello pleads guilty
Zinzi changed his plea to guilty on multiple counts against him in May. His sentencing hearing is currently scheduled for 10/24/2017, per the court docket.

Perfect example is Nicky Scarfo Jr- he got 30 years for white collar crime due to his past Federal convinctions.

@Stroccos: Isn't that why he went to jail for those previous convictions? By adding additional time or a more severe sentence because of past convictions he's essentially being punished twice for the same crime.
Which is bullshit.
Do a crime. Serve your time. The ledger is balanced.
Isn't that why you go to jail? Pay your debt to society?

Thanks Jerry.
It's going to be interesting to see what Zinzi winds up with, since arguably he's got a worse history than Patsy.
My feeling is they hammer him really hard.
