He was given his button prior to his trial for the Danny green murder. His wife received gambling payments every single month from Joseph Perfette through Orlie Carabbia while he was locked up. According to Special Agent Bob Hawk of the Cleveland FBI office, Lonardo felt he deserved to be made and also the top guys in Cleveland wanted to ensure that he kept his mouth shut which is why they paid his wife monthly and footed the bill for his legal defense.

Prior to that, he was a high-ranking associate and a very close ally to Tony the Dope who trusted Ronnie enough to let him run his section of Mahoning County without interference.

Ronnie would've been made sooner but Angelo Lonardo couldn't get past the fact that his brother Charlie was a loudmouth and could not be controlled, even by Ronnie.
Thanks for posting , they stopped paying out the skim money and used it for legal expensives

2) Unless Mallamo transferred to Cleveland later on, JCB will definitely know.

On the chart on page 1, as per the crews, was everyone under the captains associates or were any made?
Stefano Randazzo died in 1981, so listing him as inactive in 1985 is a pretty spot on!

I don't recall offhand when he moved to Florida, but he was there full time from at least 1961 through his death in 1981. He lived for a while in Miami, just on the mainland from North Bay Village. In the early 60s he worked with Vincent Palmisano at Ciro's, a well-known mob hangout in Miami Beach. In 1962, he opened Randazzo's restaurant on Normandy Shores in Miami Beach (now a Chinese restaurant). He was often seen in the company of Trafficante, driving him as well as often meeting with him and other Tampa family members in both South Florida and Tampa. He seems to drop off surveillance reports with Trafficante in the 1970s.

I don't know if Randazzo ever came over "officially" to the Tampa family, but he was certainly in the inner circle in South Florida- he is listed as a Cleveland member in Ft Lauderdale police report of 1967. One thing to keep in mind back then in Miami was that there were many instances of mobsters from different families working closely with each other. Take for example Gambino made guys Agostino Amato and his son Vincent and Frank. They were so close to Trafficante, they had the mortgage on Santo's Tampa home, in their name.

I have more info on Randazzo in my hard copy files. With the hurricane coming, I dont have time to post more, but will after it passes.
I believe one of randazzos daughter married one of the milanos as well . Off the top of my head i believe it was Carmen Milano la underboss

Help me understand the perimeters here. So the Card Shop, Hotel Sterling, Sanzo and Collinwood crews were all composed of unmade associates with no command structure above them as the local LCN is incarcerated, inactive or flipped?

And all these guys are SEPARATE from Calandra, Sinito and Gallo crews?

I think Papalardo may have been in prison in 1985 from that drug bust.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

Pogo
papalardo was indicted in novermber of 1985 , was on on bail and reported to prison in early 87 or so
the sterling gambling crew was also indicted in mid 1985 as well

So

1) Dominic Lonardo is/was a Buffalo Family member?
2) The majority of the crews were handled by Iacobacci and Papalardo with Battista and Panzerella hanging onto the last vestiges of their rackets?
3) Member sections: Admin, Captains, soldiers, inactive? With points on who was incarcerated (such as the captains). Putting aside the associates, how should we organize the made members?
