Decavalcante Family murders list
On gangster report there are article that make lists of people murdered by the mafia in outfit, detroit, kansa city ecc but not for the decavalcante family.Certainly the family members were called the peasants, and the family now is just a crew for the Gambino family, but they have also killed some since 2000.
I did a list but it is incomplete.
1948 Giovanni "John"DiBiasio
1955 Stefano Badami,first boss
19 april 1965 DeCavelcante underboss Louis LaRasso lured Feola to a garage where Feola was strangled and buried elsewhere. LaRasso confirmed the hit to Gambino capo James “Jimmy Brown”Failla.
1976 Vincent Capone
22 July 1978 John Suarato was shot and killed in his car by his nephews the brothers Vincent “Vinnie Ocean”Palermo and patsy Palermo (a Colombo soldier)
March 5, 1981 George A. Franconero was gunned down in a Mob hit in front of his home in North Caldwell, New Jersey. At the time of his death he was cooperating with federal authorities against organized crime figures. he had quarreled with DeCavelcante boss John Riggi.
1988 Vincent "Jimmy" Rotondo
September 11, 1989 DeCavalcante mobsters Vincent Palermo and James Gallo shot Weiss in the face as he was entering his car.
1991 Luciano "Fat Louie" Larusso

They aren't just a crew under the Gambino Family. The Decavelcante's are about the same size as Philly, the Gambino's certainly have influence over them though.

The Gambino have MUCH influence over them; Gotti ordered them to remake an induction ceremony,John Riggi tried to say no to Gotti in a sit down but get out white in face, also they can made people in new york and so on. I don't know how made man said "Now why are under the fucking Gambinos ?".TommyGambino wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 3:27 am They aren't just a crew under the Gambino Family. Re: Decavalcante Family murders list
There are some more murders related to Abramo at least one in the Bahama's. Stock fraud etc. They killed one or two people who stole money related to the stock fraud scheme. They were warned to return the money back to the account. They didn't. They were killed. Also the murder at the Sheraton HOtel in Newark by Stango in the late 70s. Stango went down so did Ray Tango(Crew member of Tino F). Also JImmy Gumps killed Riggi's brother inlaw in a bar in the late 60s. There are several more but I didn't have my coffee yet......

Here are some more.
1987/8 - Vincenzo Sorce, a local construction company owner, was found dead under the Goethal's Bridge between Elizabeth and Staten Island after an altercation between himself and another family member at their meeting place, the Ribera Club. This murder occurred three weeks after the headquarters of Local 394 in Elizabeth and 14 other business locations were searched by the FBI and local law enforcement officials in con- nection with the federal investigation of mob influence in the construction industry in New Jersey (the above from a report on the family)
1989 - Gambino Associate Frederick Weiss killed by the DeCavalcantes on Gotti's order.
1989 - Associate (proposed) Joseph Garafano
1998 - Associate Joseph "Joey O" Masella

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.
Re: Decavalcante Family murders list
Elizabeth NJ is getting a new train station and the surrounding area is seeing a lot of construction .
Newark NJ has hundred of millions in construction work around Newark penn right now plus a new path stop direct to Newark airport which will be a ton of demo work. I see a billion dollar new Nwk Penn station in its future.
Jersey city might be the hottest real estate market in the country and Harrison NJ is getting fall out from the JC transformation into the 6th boro.
Also in the NJ shore side where Decavs have dealing Asbury Park is seeing millions upon millions of construction work and NJ beach replenishment work which I think is $1 billion + that will needs tons of trucking, excavating work and equipment leasing work.
Bayonne Nj is also seeing millions upon millions in new projects along its waterfront.
NYC is NYC and will always be booming but NJ Gold Coast and areas with direct NYC train access is a legit construction gold rush going on with billions being spent now and many billions more in the very near future involving all wise guy construction rackets and areas the DeCavs have a lot of exposure and experience with.
Right now there must be wise guy construction , hustling , sit down activity in NJ that might rival the 80s and plus all the trucking that needs to be involved , port activity tied into the construction / materials and garbage activity . I wouldn't be surprised if the DeCav and Gambino recent restructure was a direct result of all those projects and probably a mutually beneficial relationship the two worked out to beef up their union and contractor muscle for more business but also to better compete with Genovese and Luchesse . This recent Luchesse bust no doubt has all their union and contractors scared shitless a Lund looking over their shoulder . Some real serious shit and angling is going on with those 4 famalies and I wish we could get some of the street talk as it's probably about as exciting as it has ever been on the NJ construction and related industry sides . Shit even the lunch truck to construction site activity could be a best seller (lol just kidding of course ).
On a side note talk about some real legit management strategy with the west side really going all out to expand in NJ and port back in the day . They are literally in the drivers seat in directing all this shit today, plus all the additional sports gambling activity at these sites . Talk about some Steve jobs vision there lol

The thing what the Decav's that people don't get is that despite being pushed out of that Labor Union. They have interests in many many union and NON union companies that get allot of work in large commercial projects. Construction is still their bread and butter. Their Sports Book is peanuts. Decav's have a geezer crew that still runs the Italian lottery in the 55 and older Communities in Toms River and Lakewood holiday city and shit like that. They are down in South Florida too. Westside has Geezer crews doin the Italian Lottery in S FL. That's fuckin old school shit. Everyone does sports better now. The OG's(old Geezers) are the only ones that play that shit. They came up on the Italian Lottery in the 40s 50s and 60s as kids. It used to be Huge. They work with the Gambino's and the Lucheses in Construction still . You have to remember that before they got pushed out of the union. They had already had interests in Dozens of Companies. Family Members, Inlaws , Friends and guys on the "hook" run these companies. If all they had was nickel dime sports books and small time drug deals the family would not exist today alongside the NY families. They only exist today because of Construction. That's my belief at least. Look at that Stango Crew. They were not making any money. They were into selling coke and putting together hookers to make a buck. And NONE of those guys arrested where even slightly weathly by any means. They were all brokesters.
Re: Decavalcante Family murders list
Good info Rocco and when the Feds came down hard on the unions the smart move was to get off their radar and just become a private contractor while still cultivating relationships within the union.
I have a hard time believing that any wise guy construction crews today aren't making big $ given the construction boom in NE NJ , the shore areas and all of NYC and Nassau. The wise guys have decades of relationships in those area and especially JC which is the 6th boro now and any wise guy that had connections in the city is sleeping in hundred dollar bills every night. GCs might be looked at pretty closely for large projects (especially public works ) but to keep track of the sub contractors is almost impossible and add in the fact almost all the work done today is via invoices ( padded but good luck proving that ad every legit co. does that ) plus legit counsel and accountants advising them every step along the way and an unlimited amount of limited liability companies that no one knows who really controls and which can be opened and closed in a single day and I almost feel bad for LE to try and build a construction case. I'm sure that's the reason we see LE going after the easier to litigate gambling cases even though they are worthless .
I wish we had more info on the Cava construction sale / merger in 2015 I think as that must of had some big time sit downs to arrange to I believe Omni ? Cava was a legit big time GC , especially large hotels in Manhatten and I believe did well over $100m+ in revenue annually and that's just 1 company. If you work in Manhatten you get to see all the sub contractor companies and can connect some dots . IMO that was probably one of the biggest wise guy story that no one talked about .

the alesi's are huge in nj construction
Re: Decavalcante Family murders list
Who are they with ? Had to be west side given what these guys do
i like them as they are putting serious $ in Kearny where I have a few props and Bayonne could double them in 10 years . Bayonne , Harrison and to a lesser extend Kearny are the next Hudson county spots with Hoboken and JC costs approaching Manhatten levels .
