Re: Gangland news 8th June 2017
I didnt say 50% rat. I said if 95% of organized crime guys serve 15+ years of time, there simply wouldnt be so many rat stories and a lot of these organizations would still have a resemblance of their former power today, which a lot of them simply dont, and guys cooperating, plays into that. Thats two different things.
I'm saying 50/50 in terms of things like plea deals, judge decisions when it comes to them considering things like time served, etc, when first time offenders are taken into account, of course this doesnt apply to most murder charges. I could still be off, and in no way am I saying my stats are anymore correct, but I'd like to know how you guys are reaching this 95% stat when considering OC as a whole.

And by the way 50/50 is a rough estimate, not something that I consider concrete.

Youve lost me.
The way I understand Snakes's statement is 95% of people who get 15yrs or more serve time and dont rat. I agree with this ballpark guesstimate.
I thought you were saying its only about 50% but you are responding thats not your point. if this isnt your point I dont know what you are trying to say.
I fear we're veering too far off topic and will let the argument rest.

Or his son. He could Flip to save his son as well. Or his Son could flip on his own as well. I am very surprised the Black guy hasn't rolled yet? Also Londonio? Those two should be flipping as I write this.OlBlueEyesClub wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2017 7:46 am Good article about Crea Nighthawk. I definitely can see now how Crea could possibly flip, he's never served a substantial amount of prison time. Its gonna be interesting to see what happens.

Some people its not in there DNA to flip , if that was my son and the murder charges look solid I would get A message to him to flip on me , no sense in both father and son dying in the can.Rocco wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 5:41 amOr his son. If Crea Snr wanted to flip, the damage he could do, the Feds would easily accept immunity for himself and his son.
And the Feds would want Snr to roll, not Jnr.

Why are neither crea sr or jr showing on the fed inmate search? Did they let these guys bond out?

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

The only entry for crea sr I see shows him released in 06 from his last conviction. If he's in custody it should say where he is and what his status is

Pretty much, They must have pretty good tapes to charge that many people with murder.... Still plenty of time...Teddy Persico wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 8:59 pmEveryone should be flipping left and right!Rocco wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2017 5:41 amOr his son. This is a capital murder case - the rules change with that factor. No bail for defendants and an anonymous jury. It raises the stakes for any defendant.

I don't think Crea, Sr. cares about his son getting life or not. Would he pull a Joe Massino after being convicted? I do think so. Face it - you're 69 years old- done little or no time your entire mob career (Crea Sr). You made your money - stayed under the radar and now have to think about waking up in a cell 1,000 miles from home in Utah. You have to negotiate with Aryan Brothers to watch out for you because of your age against the gangbanger punks from Compton who will be near your cell and yard space.
Casso would have had Crea - perhaps both Sr and Jr - whacked if he had more time out on the streets before he was pinched. Put it all together and it only makes sense to flip now rather than later. I'm sure he will be allowed to keep some money and go into WITSEC and live out his next to 10/15 years in relative peace. It's your move Steve! Absolutely agree.
People swore until they were blue in the face Massino would never roll.
Crea has a choice to make not just for him, but for his kid as well.
And that adds another dimension.

Bronx guys rarely rat at least from what I can tell
He has(d) a lot of west side support for years, heavies too and I don't see Madonna talking murda around anyone he isn't completely sure of and you can probably count the # of such guys on his hands.
I don't see it and we still don't know the strength of the case as recently the big cases have fizzled and it's no coincidence this is occurring when LE resources dedicated to LCN are at an all time low while that Luchesse crew is likely the most wealthy they have ever been .
But hey you never know and I bet a lot of guys are worried and I'm more interested in the west side side of things as I have a hunch they have a large well run construction group doing many large projects ( and god knows what else as I think they are savvy today with who they are surrounded by ). With that family were never going to learn anything until a guy from another family like Crea rolls IMO . I think BB is well insulated and will be hard to get to and I wouldn't be surprised if he mainly/only takes legit backed up payments as he seems to really limit his exposure. Plus with real estate values in the Bronx / Westchester area having rapidly appreciated he probably has a $15-$25M ++ real estate portfolio . Shoot a single apartment building he owns in the Bronx could be $25M alone today lol and that's only funny because it's likely true.
Anyway still alot of Street shit going on in NYC as we are reading about shootings and beat downs all over the place amongst all crews except Columbos . Not like the old days but clearly some real shit going on and I think some of these crews have some substantial real estate holdings , NYC , Boken , JC was expensive in 80s but not like today where everything starts with a millions +.
