Follow up NJ recycling report

Post by Wiseguy »

New report from the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation. Basically a follow up report to the 2011 one that dealt with mob involvement in the recycling industry. This one goes more in particular with the construction/demolition debris hauling, brokering, and dumping.

angelo ponte's family owns all american recycling and recycle paperboard... when they got kicked out of the garbage business in the 90's for that operation wasteland. pretty sure with the hundreds of millions they bring in that they run a clean house today. they def still kick something to the west side though i'm sure.

There are a bunch of Guido's ( last name in the report not the slang term ) that worked in the Newark Port area . Most of them I think got kicked out , wonder if the guy in this report is tied into that family as had some side activities.

Ponte are legit , they just re did the old whiskey cafe , but I wouldn't be surprised if their vendors are friends

Cool . Joey brother I think Vincent married a sweet girl that had some type of manageable disease and instead of moving on he married her . Good dude as he had plenty of options I'm sure .

I heard about Frank passing but man that family is blessed and they have all basically lived over 90. TriBeCa has recently become the most expensive area in Manhatten and these guys have / had tons of property there and were one of the only landlords that barely raised rent even though they could of. I would not be surprised if their real estate holdings exceed $500M in asset value and that Is likely conservative but I know they have been doing some hotel or apt deals I think the last few years , quasi complex lease deals (West side still have their claws into some Asian hotel developers in NYC separate from Pontes ) . Joe might be most successful wise guy ever . Almost unbelievable as they barely did any jail time and did everything the right way as they generally kept their kids out of the life, that takedown was some bullshit , for some reason cash is illegal but corp card events to the super bowl or the Masters aren't , lol

That paper company has become big , a lot of trucks . All legit . The WS is on a whole other level where they can do relationship deals 100% amongst their numerous real estate and related businesses , the Wall Street way. Anyway I got to ask you a question , non OC, just first name of mngr there as I'm too embarrassed to ask and the dude and man thing is getting old . Thanks
