Richard Cantarella family reality show
http://cosanostranews.com/
There's a busload of former Bonanno wiseguys out there in America these days. Ya all know what one of them (Dom Cicale) has been up to -- and now we can catch up with one of Dom's ex-cohorts....
We love the way the network, Oxygen, wrote up this press release (though all things considered, we're not sure what Richard "Shellackhead" Cantarella's old pals will think about this reality television series in general. In fact, one old-school Bonanno wiseguy told us: "That scumbag!" when we informed him about the show -- he refrained from further comment).... Anyhoo, we decided, hey, we'll post the frigging thing as is:
Going from a life of crime to life in the suburbs proves to be the ultimate challenge in Oxygen Media's quirky new half-hour docu-comedy series UNPROTECTED, premiering Tuesday, April 11 at 9pm ET/PT. (See trailer below.)
The series follows the Cantarellas, a boisterous, old-school family that participated in the Federal Witness Protection Program after their testimony led to the conviction of one of the most powerful crime families in the country. (Not exactly, it is the Bonannos we're talking about here...)
Now out of the program and raising two teenagers in Scottsdale, Arizona, viewers will get an up-close and amusing glimpse into the lives of this New York family as they adapt to their unfamiliar suburban surroundings, try to shred old habits and stay true to themselves.
"'Unprotected' is a hilarious fish-out-of-water comedy series that reminds us that at the core of it all, it's all about family," said Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Development, Oxygen Media. "The Cantarella way may not always be the norm, but they're a delightful blend of clashing generations and over-the-top personalities. The pursuit of second chances will resonate with our audience, making everyone feel as if they're a part of the family."
In the series premiere, after being offended by a not-so-great Yelp review of THE FAMILY car wash, Richard and Lauretta track down the culprit in an effort to get the review removed. Meanwhile, Toni and Richie Jr. make a commercial in hopes of turning the wash's reputation around. From running a legit family business to making new friends, the Cantarellas are putting their wayward past behind them and learning how to live life in the 'burbs.
Meet the Family:
Richard Cantarella
Lauretta Cantarella
Tracey Accardo
Paul Cantarella
Kim Cantarella
Toni Ann Cantarella
Richie Cantarella

I couldn't even watch the whole trailer. How fuckin EMBARRASSING!!! (Excuse my French) What a disgrace to all Italian-Americans this family is. Fuckin disgusting acting like that! Gavones.
Re: Richard Cantarella family reality show
I completely agree and what kind of message does this show send? Basically, you can commit all the crimes you want, kill whoever you want, and as long as you have a few other Italians to blame for the stuff you chose to do, the government will relocate you and your family, give you money to start a business, and you can have a reality show. Apparently crime does pay as long as you are willing to rat on your friends and play the role of a poor unfortunate criminal who saw the light and was actually manipulated by his big scary boss. I bet in say five years Cantarella will get in trouble for something such as tax evasion. Once a scum bag, always a scum bag. I realize guys like Leonetti have apparently turned their lives around but for every Leonetti there are a dozen Sammy Gravanos and Joey Calcos.

Although it does look like crap I did get a chuckle out of watching Shellackhead and his son living out in the open and flaunting and playing up their past. The mob is pretty much a laughing stock now due to their being pretty much toothless. Christ at least as a matter of honor the Bonannos should send a hit team to Scotsdale to whack both of them.

Disgraceful
Re: Richard Cantarella family reality show
A bunch of the Cantarella's are on Facebook with public profiles. I'm personally looking forward to any future TV shows with cooperators...I'm hoping that new information is revealed.
Re: Richard Cantarella family reality show
Anyone know how many people Cantarella killed or helped kill ? Was his son made as too ?

Thanks Pogo. I thought he had a kid that was made. He was also had his hands in the pockets of that Barry Weinberg and his parking lots. If I remember correctly wasn't he pretty abusive to him ?

I think they are living next door to the Gravano's lol No one is gonna whack this guy. Everyone also nows that Massino was living with one of his daughters after getting out of jail. I bet he back in NY or FL by now though. Fuckin Joke. THough you got guys coming out and already out that went away in 2004. Bobby HAHA is out. Louie HAHA is coming out next yr I think. Calabrese is out too. But I doubt these 70yr olds are gonna head to Scottsdale to pop this guy.Pogo The Clown wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2017 1:08 pm Although it does look like crap I did get a chuckle out of watching Shellackhead and his son living out in the open and flaunting and playing up their past. Massino is out?
Re: Richard Cantarella family reality show
The guy was definitely an earner. A millionaire. And, as Pogo said, was involved in at least a few murders. He was the real deal before he flipped.
All roads lead to New York.
