To NYNightHawk or Wiseguy: Good pieces, I remember reading them before, but cannot remember when. Can either of you post the date of those articles, please? Thank you.

They are from 2005.

Does anyone have any good stories on Peter fucking up or pulling dumb shit? I always get a chuckle out of him not knowing how trial pleas work.

Money passing between Peter and either a contractor or union official (I forget) while parked directly behind an unmarked FBI car with two agents sitting in the car while taking pictures of the transaction. After Peter Gotti and the other guy left one agent got out of the car and said the way the sun was hitting the car you couldn't tell anyone was in the car, but said, any moron could tell it looked like an unmarked car, that they just have that look.

I got the story from one of the retired FBI agents that was in the car. He spent bulk of his career on the Kansas City and Gambino FBI Squads. Said that John Gotti Jr. was a spoiled rotten scumbag and that Peter Gotti wasn't too bright.

No argument from me on that. I still think Gotti would have been killed had him , Casso and Chin not been pulled off the street. And when he went away the Lucchese Brooklyn crew was gonna kill his son eventually had he not been pulled off the streets. Gotti thought he was LCN but he was anything but LCN. He was hollywoods version of a gangster.

Pretty sure Junior Gotti was safe from the Brooklyn Luccheses by the time he was indicted. Those plots against him were years in the past.

About 3-4 years. Before that he was on the ruling panel for about 8 years.

I agree, The Chin was hell bent taking the Gotti's off the map and he seemed to want the Lucchese's to do it.

I'm surprised he didn't keep the work "in-house" unless he wanted another family involved for a reason. They even purposely used a bomb to make it seem like some Sicilians were involved.
