What was the deadliest Mafia war in New York, in terms of casualties?

It would have to be the Castellammarese War. The Colombo War was pretty bloody too with 2 civilians being killed and I believe others being wounded.

Amato wasn't with nastasi at all , he was killed when Larry mazza was trying to kill Joey tolino , he's another that can be added to the wounded list . He was shot in the foot but didn't die , tolino was mistaken for Nicky grancio

In terms of casualties, I think that the Montreal wars certainly rank in third position in terms of number of killings in the mafia of North America. So far, since 2004 (the year Vito Rizzuto was arrested), there have been roughly over 30 dead persons. Attempts murders are not included.
