Guys we really shouldn't be jumping down the throat of every new poster that comes on here (unless they are an obvious troll like Vacari, Dumbell, etc). These types of forums always need new blood to keep things from growing stale and we should be welcoming newbies.

Thats true, pogo. But once they stoop low enough to call members here "old farts and fucking fags", the gloves come off. Lol. I remember when I was new, coming from RD and GBB , I got almost the same treatment from you guys, not many of you thought I was here for a good reason. I enjoyed this forum and the info I was reading up on and became privy to and it opened up my mind and made realize that I knew very little on these matters. And I never resulted to that kind of name calling and attacking the entire forum. I think thats the obvious difference between guys like myself, and SonnyBlackstein. We come here, we're questioned, we just roll with the punches and contribute where we can. And the treatement has definitely gotten better for myself, I can't speak for Sonny, or if he even had those experiences. The trolls make themselves obvious when they're questioned and instead of providing sources or whatever they can to support their claims, stories and theories, they flip out and result to cursing out the entire forum.
Personally, I think thats the clear cut sign, of whose here to truly be here, and those who are not.

But what I'm saying is they shouldn't get that treatment to begin with. The guy asked a legit question even if bit newbie-ish (same type of questions I myself asked when I first started getting into OC) and immediately he starts catching flak. It just not a good amptmosphere to encourage new members to come on here.

True, I cant say I felt like the treatment was warranted when I first got here either.

agreed, but people who come on here and make comments that they've been following x, y or z's posts for years on other sites already know how things work. whenever i've joined a new site and gotten pushback for whatever reason, whether justified or not, i've always taken into consideration that i'm new and to maybe take a step back and reevaluate things. instead, some prefer going on the offensive and then playing the victim card which is a pretty bad sign of things to come.Pogo The Clown wrote:Guys we really shouldn't be jumping down the throat of every new poster that comes on here (unless they are an obvious troll like Vacari, Dumbell, etc). His choice of words could be better, but I see a lot of smug, arrogant comments regarding GBB from guys that also post over there for chrissake.. Good luck, because you're not actually going to get a knowledgable discussion going over there. And nobody gives a shit about these nonsense pissing contests, like whom were more ruthless and shit. Because as said, Roy DeMeo would have them all beat, and he wasnt even a capo. But then again, you might intrigue the idiots, guys like Moe and shit. See ya, its not like we need you hear anyway with a lack of contributions.

I'll throw my two cents in....
I first joined GangsterBB in November and saw all these posts on that forum referencing and referring to charts made by PogoTheClown etc. I realized if they are posting and quoting stuff from another forum and it's members then that forum must be better and I needed to find it.
GBB isn't terrible but it seems more amateurish than here. This is a more serious place, if you want to hear from people who are interested in factual info.

Eh, I've voiced the same concerns and statements in regards to that forum on that forum as well, and also in various private messages to SC. So my feelings aren't really a secret as far as GBB is concerned either.
