East coast lv casinos

Post by JeremyTheJew »

Besides the genovese fam, and i am not sure exactly about gambinos, but what casinos in lv had nyc connections?

Seems a lot of the midwest fams had shares in Vegas...
Detroit, cleveland had a few, kansas,

What about pittsburgh or buffalo?

Some of the guys from Jersey in my father's neighborhood went to Vegas to work in those casinos. Now, those guys are either dead or in their 70's and 80's and retired.

So after seeing that list... It surprised me to see st Louis w three casinos... Who was the boss then?

St Louis was not involved in the strawman case, correct?

And also i thought trafficante had a stake w marcello in a lv as well as the havanna casinos?

So did Tommy Lucchese, Carlo Gambino, Joe Bonnano not have any interests in Las Vegas casinos? I dont doubt the impeccable resources and info here, I just find it very interesting that 3 of the most powerful bosses in the entire country especially in the 50's and 60's had no stake in LV casinos a town the mob built? any thoughts?

It's not an necessarily complete list. Just what I've read about over the years.

Yeah, it was mainly Philadelphia. The key union was obviously HEREU Local 54. But Leonetti also talked about them using their connections to the construction unions during the building phase. At the same time, according to Freselone, the NY families had a big piece of the construction in return for Scarfo getting Local 54. Although the Genovese got a piece of that too for assisting him. Anyway, the mob didn't have any hidden ownership or skimming in AC casinos. There was some involvement in ancillary services.

Only because I overheard several conversations held over the dinner table by my "friends" from Pittsburgh, I believe they had some involvement with the Hacienta. Can anyone confirm my suspicions?

LV...Wango ran junkets to the Hacienta from his office in downtown Pittsburgh. Zebo worked some of these then it was Jo Jo's legit job while he was on "paper" when he came home from Lexington.
