Bronx, some time ago I found a interwiev or something by I think it was Joe DeCicco.He gave a lot of crap about John Gotti etc, but it was interasting one thing he said that the DeCicco clan or the "dalton gang" as you call them were all living at bay 13th and bay 14th streets betwen benson and bath ave and benson and 86th street.Also some of the Fappianos aswell.The same part of bath beach where Big paul grew up.Wich acctually makes sense because the DeCicco social club was on bay 13th and bath ave, 1628 bath ave...
Of course he was talking early on in the 40s, 50s, 60s etc..

you have really great info or you lived in the nabe..before the 40's .. also lived around 84th 85th streets . joe was never made, a tough guy but he had some issues.of all the brothers only jimmy and george were made.if you need more on them let me know..funny bunch

when you say Jimmy and george were made, you mean Vincent Franks father and george The one that died recently?

yes twice..franks fathers name was vincent but vincent was often called jimmy, his aka was boozy. george was boozy's youngest brother..he was made under paul.

Was Gotti the one who got Marino his stripes?Looking at him, he would of made a good boss.White collar, smart, sicilian (probablly), but he was to wild so to say, and had a temper like a street fighter.There was a tape of him beating some guy in the hall of a casino with somebody.He really had a bad temper, like Gotti..I figure that guys with vulcanic tempers like them end up dead (Anastasia) or in jail like Gotti (On tape), etc.

Yes Alex, all info online points towards Gotti promoting Marino to capo when he became boss.

Alex ,gotti made him a captain..he was with brown. he really did not have a bad temper, a really good one in fact..everyone fights,street guys fight when pushed..a classy man..would make a good boss in todays times..understands both street and biz end real well.he had a great teacher..
