Scarfo’s illegitimate family
As mentioned on a previous thread, Nicky Scarfo began a rogue family in Philadelphia. I think this is worth having its own thread
1. When did this begin
2. Who was part of the family
3. Nicky Scarfo was the official boss?
I have read that Scarfo Jr was supposed to use the money from that major mortgage fraud scam he pulled (the reason why he’s in prison today) and takeover the Philly family with the use of those funds. They were his war chest. Interestingly enough, part of the proceeds were supposed to be kicked up to Vic Amuso

Re: Scarfo’s illegitimate family
It’s important to note that Scarfo Sr saw himself as the rightful boss of Philly and didn’t see this branch he was creating as illegitimate. Vic Amuso and the Lucchese family still recognized Scarfo as a Boss.
Remembering what I can they made around 4 guys and the ceremony was conducted by an unnamed old timer that was still loyal to Scarfo Sr.

Chin made a good post about some stuff that supports this theory

Interesting. That was certainly an outlandish idea.OcSleeper wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 4:48 pm Chin made a good post about some stuff that supports this theory

Re: Scarfo’s illegitimate family
I have heard that the old-timer was Marc Marconi. He wasn’t recognizing Joey and his guys and still recognized Nicky Sr as the boss. I suspect that’s why his son Gino was killed.

I could see this being the case. Marc Marconi and Scarfo were close years ago when Nicky was working for his uncle Nick Piccolo.

Marconi makes sense he definitely fits the bill.

This is an interesting timeframe in Philly for me. This is what 7/8 years after Merlino/Natale are running things, and there are still guys in Philly loyal to Scarfo and don't recognize Merlino.
Who do we know who was still Loyal to Nicky at this time, Marc Marconi, not sure if his brother is alive at this point. Joey Grande was still loyal to Nicky as well.

A making ceremony was conducted by Nicky Jr but if I remember correctly, that same individual who was inducted into Nicky Jr’s renegade group ended up being inducted into the Philly family and they told him that this was the real family or something like thatShotgunTheRifle wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 4:36 am This is an interesting timeframe in Philly for me. Re: Scarfo’s illegitimate family
Nicky Jr was going around during that timeframe and making a lot of moves, he had a huge crew in the AC area and was making a lot of moves at the time. His crew was his cousin on his Moms side Parisi JP, Persiano, Sammy Piccolo, Todd Stark, Pelullo, and a lot of younger guys. That crew was making a lot of moves in the AC Area shaking down the usual businesses until they ultimately got brought down by the First Plus Indictment. Nicky Jr is actually a pretty smart, polite, and well spoken gentleman . He got rail roaded because of his Father.

I guess I should have been more clear. Which old Scarfo Sr members remained loyal to him through those years.
