He used to hang out at one of the Bastone kids’ cigar shoppe in Forest Park, but I believe some heat between the two materialized. Not sure if the shoppe is still thereIvan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:24 pmWow, good eye. I can't get that to come up wherever it is. I'm probably just looking in the wrong places (not much of a Facebook guy).Patrickgold wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:03 pm I still see it but it will be taken down soon bc after 24 hours it is.
Thanks for taking the time to screencap that.
I wonder if he goes to that "steak and cigars" thing they advertise on there, he's a big cigar guy: https://www.facebook.com/reel/1200215797711783

Taverna on Division is owned by John Matassa's son.

That Greg Vayna guy in the cigar video I linked to is listed as the owner. Does Matassa's son also own a share, or is he himself Matassa's son but uses a different last name for some reason, or what?
My problem is I hate everybody.

I think he sold it to the current guy. There has been two different owners of Taverna. The current bought it a couple of years ago

Here is where I got that - some of the older posts here on GangsterBB are somewhat informative. Did Pudgy's son really go to West Point? http://gangsterbb.net/threads/ubbthread ... ber=785662Patrickgold wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 5:21 amI think he sold it to the current guy. I have a close contact who remains friendly with Pudgy - he had told me there was another pizza place he operates (Jonny & Tonys) in Elmhurst, IL. Clearly, Pudgy has income well beyond that janky union scheme he pulled a few years ago.

I know this has been discussed before, but does anyone have additional information/thoughts on why Jimmy Marcello is locked up in supermax? It always seemed like overkill for an LCN guy to be housed with the Unabomber and El Chapo, but I'm sure there is more to the story than I know.
The two things I recall reading were that he was either trying to run the outfit or criminal rackets from prison, or that it was basically a middle finger from the feds due to his multiple appeal attempts. Dude is 81 years old, and spends 23 hours a day in a tiny cell with a 4 inch window.
