Tocco686 wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 3:40 am Oh Boy, here comes Westside to try and derail another post. Did you even read any of the comments on this thread? You know I picture you as the type of guy that’s really not listening, but just waiting for his turn to talk. Also your logic as to why you don’t believe these guys are involved is insane. You always throw up the same rhetoric. So, just so we’re clear…. According to you, if a serial killer kills for years, but he doesn’t have a record or police are not looking into him or have him investigated or on a watchlist, well… then he must not be a serial killer. I’ll side with you on the fact that Detroit’s bordering on KC level with no real structure left. And there are very few guys. And I’m sure most are coasting on Name recognition. Did you ever think the reason that arrests aren’t happening is because most of these guys are connected with Police, Politicians and so on. Why would anyone want to stop them when they’re all lining their own pockets. Also, OC division in Michigan is more concerned with Chaldeans and Arab Terrorists that might be here.

-As for Giacalone I said, he’s pretty much a hermit. I’m sure he still has some guys paying tribute. I don’t believe he leads in anyway. Just a figure head.

-Vince Giacalone does run a Pizza chain. But he has had surveillance of him delivering messages for his brother. Which would technically make him an associate.

-The D’anna’s are very smart. I don’t believe they are trying to become their own family, but more of an independent crew. Why is it so unbelievable that they would fly guys over here to help them. These guys have no record here, are not being looked at by police, and will be loyal to only them. Sounds like a great way to insulate themselves from getting popped. And if one of these guys gets caught, they’ll just flee back to Sicily.

-Aceto is pretty much out. He only made it as far as he did because he’s Giacalone’s friend and former driver. Him and the Renegades and Vigilante MC’s are being pushed out of the heroin business by the D’anna’s.
How am I trying to derail anything? Everything I posted had to do with the current status of Detroit, and by extension, it's future. The subtext of my post was obviously pointing out that so much of what people are saying (and have always said) about Detroit are based on only two things - Scott B and speculation. Take those two away and what is there left to say about Detroit? Pretty much nothing. Furthermore, the fact your response was simply more speculation, devoid of anything substantial you're basing any of this on, proves my point.
JoePuzzles234 wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:16 pm Not really going to engage with most of the post since it's the usual Detroit debate but thought these points were worth discussing
Wiseguy wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 1:05 pm Joseph Giacalone/86 - Conflicting information, to say the least. GamTax documents said he was made in 1986. It's claimed he's a captain in more recent years, yet Nove Tocco said he isn't made. Like pretty much anyone else left in Detroit, basically no evidence of activity to speak of.
The guy listed on the BOP Locator is not the suspected Detroit member. Anthony J. Giacalone's son Joseph is born ~ 1952. I don't think he has ever done time and I'm not sure he was ever included on any FBI lists.

Re: Peter Jack Corrado and Paul Corrado (Cousin Paulie, 06/01/1963)
I think I posted it in one of the Nove Tocco threads but when I asked about Peter Jack Corrado being identified as a member by the FBI, he like half-trailed off and said something about him possibly not being "formally inducted." It might mean he was of the same vague status as Nove and Big Paulie Corrado.

Regarding Cousin Paulie Corrado being identified as a member in the Gametax indictment, both Nove and Big Paulie are also called members there when it's apparently not the case. There is a spot for a Paul Corrado on the 1993 list, so maybe he can slot in there? Hopefully Nove Tocco can clarify these issues soon enough.

I hope Tocco686 doesn't mind the derailment but here is my attempt at the 1993 list:

I wouldn't say your post is a derailment at all since it pertains to the subject of the thread.

Anyway, so you're saying the Joseph Giacalone in question is around 74 and not made?

As far as the Corrados, if we have the FBI listing someone as made but then an insider saying something different, that leaves it inconclusive as far as I'm concerned. Simply because the FBI got their information from somewhere. When they label someone as made, it's usually from one of two sources: surveillance or other made members confirming that someone is made.

If none of the guys in question are made, that leaves what, Jackie Giacalone and Anthony LaPiana?
All roads lead to New York.

I don't have an exact day/month but he was born in 1952. I've seen others say that some of the Gametax documentation mentions he was a member but the version of the indictment I have saved doesn't mention him at all (unless I've missed it). Scott B mentioned either in one of the Patreon videos or the livestream he did with Tocco that he has federal documents identifying his status as an LCN member when Nove said he wasn't made but I've not seen anything personally.

Yeah it's pretty murky at the moment. I'm not sure what to make of the Detroit 1993 list personally, the inclusion of Silverio Vitello is flatout bizarre - he later admits at trial (1998) that he made up a story about getting inducted in 1978. How does he end up on the 1993 list, is this lie widespread or something? etc.

Tocco says that Anthony D. Giacalone wasn't made and he's also included, so that doesn't help things either. Really not sure where that leaves Peter Jack Corrado but it does seem to hint that Anthony LaPiana and Jack V. Giacalone are the only guys left that are "conclusively" identified by both the FBI and Tocco's insider perspective.

Luciano’s in Clinton Twp is a staple for Mob guys to eat at. It is also where Thomas Mackey (Peter Tocco’s Crew) HQ’d out of.

The Stage Deli in West Bloomfield. Located between 14 and Maple rd. This was Giacalone’s spot every Tuesday and Thursday where he would have lunch with Peter Tocco. In the restaurant they never spoke business in fear of the table being bugged. They would do walk and talks in the parking lot. If I can dig them up I got some good surveillance photos of them. Giacalone would also use orchard lake rd as his meet ups in various store parking lots. I used to see him at the Best Buy quite a bit.

It’s been in the good ol’ Letterboxd watchlist for some time now, but I’ve been hesitant to actually watch it

Seems not one single DET guy was cast. It’s all east coast bozos. Where these filmmakers get off thinking that some Jersey or wherever clowns could depict a Detroit LCN guy, I’ll never know

Itd be like if Sopranos featured a bunch of people from Oregon

However, Lance Kawas, the director, is one of my favourite shitty movie directors, and Street Boss has a pretty infamous rep for being one of the worst gangster films ever made, alongside American Made (directed by Joey Travolta), so I’ll probably wind up checking it out just for the spectacle of the thing.

He appears haggard for 70. There was a photo of he with his wife and another couple where she is sitting and the men behind them; she appeared attractive and he looked good.

Okay ... Soooo why base your movie in SAGINAW tho smfh?? That's equivalent to let's say.... Iowa or some ghetto stick town. IF there is any monsters in Saginaw they are either gang bangers or HIDING from someone lol.

And I think Vincent Pastore plays Giacalone - and it was one of those 30 secs that gets you on the cover of the movie roles

Correct, he does play him. Probably did zero research on the Partnership & just played the same tired old east coast guy role he typically plays

I don’t know much about Detroit & don’t even know what Saginaw is. Did they not operate there?
