SB further notes that Gotti is currently headquartered out of a Brooklyn restaurant owned by a reputed mob associate with no criminal record.

-SB suggests that while Gene was at first happy with his status upon his release from prison, more recently he began politicking for more authority in the family, this again per SBs sources. These same sources indicate Gotti has expressed interest in the underboss role when reputed current underboss Lenny DiMaria retires (DiMaria is 83).

-Finally SB notes, again per sources, that current Gambino bosses Dom Cefalu and Lorenzo Mannino thought they had placated various internal factions by appointing “less-confrontational, more diplomatic Gotti Era” leaders like DiMaria and Lou Vallario to administrative positions. While this strategy appeared to be initially successful, the desired long-term drama free outcomes appearto be waning (as SB also continues to assert that veteran Gambino mobster Nick Corozzo has also created waves in the family, allegedly upset for being passed over for the consigliere role in favor of Vallario).

At 79 years of age Gene Gotti still has 15 years left of parole time. He violates and he goes back in - he will not get out until his 90's! I call this all bullshit. He's hiding at home and staying under the covers!

Hey knucklehead- Judge Bartels gave Gene and John Carneglia 50 years each. They got out with good behavior after 35 years. 35-from 50 is 15 since you failed math in school!!

Or probation he would be at wakes of non immediate family members. If we’re talking about it on a blog, I’m sure the feds that were there taking pics know. And I’m sure they’d violate him. What year did he get out? It’s been 7 years. I never heard of anyone really having more then 5 years paper. Maybe if he did have 15 years he got it reduced or thrown out after a certain amount of time. But I promise if he had anything to worry about being violated he wouldn’t be at wakes….

I believe this is the statute covering people getting off parole early under the old sentencing rules. I wouldn't be shocked if they cut him loose if he petitioned for it after not doing anything bad early in his release. They paroled the DeMeo Crew serial killers when they asked for it, so I wouldn't be shocked if they gave early termination of parole to Gene Gotti if he asked for it.
