Yeah there's nothing like that in the articles. They just say Rooster showed up, acted obnoxious, and got slugged by local hero Paulie Carparelli.PolackTony wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:41 pm I don’t know that Scott reported anything like “the Latin Kings are using Capri Ristorante to hold court”.

Who said the Latin Kings were ‘holding court’? And how in gods name would you know what type of places this Rooster would patronize unless you know him personally?NorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:19 pm Anyone else think its odd the Latin Kings were holding court in one of Chicago's whitest suburbs (Burr Ridge) - I mean its popular bc that's where the Chicago athletes live. I really just don't see this being plausible. The restaurant/nightclub closes at 11pm. Not really the type 'Rooster' and the gang would hang - I imagine the crowd is quite older.
Exactly, I read this whole thread twice just to see if I missed something. It’s 2 reputed criminals getting into a minor scuffle which got resolved amicably. I don’t see what’s not plausible about the whole scenario besides maybe questioning Scott’s reporting but that’s a different ball of wax.PolackTony wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:41 pm I don’t know that Scott reported anything like “the Latin Kings are using Capri Ristorante to hold court”.

It would surprise you how sophisticated some of the higher-ups in the Latin Kings are. Don't judge a book by its cover just because their members of a Hispanic gang. I've met a couple of them and they're very different than your stereotypical gang member.

Yes they love high class joints as well and dressing nicely and not like some street gang thug.

My 'anonymous sources on the street' say its hard to believe Latin Kings having dinner amongst a bunch of white people who are largely over 60 and then getting into a fight where no police or media activity picked up onjohnny_scootch wrote: ↑Tue Apr 01, 2025 8:04 pmWho said the Latin Kings were ‘holding court’? Lots of cocaine is consumed by the clientle of Capri. Go in the lounge and see all the cougars in there who love to party and fuck, its a big money maker for the Latin Kings I imagine.

No ill will towards anyone who wants to believe Scott. From the folks I chat with in Chicago and from what I can see online its largely people in their 60s at this restaurant - I don't imagine there are a ton of young people in a suburb with a median home price at a Million plus. Sure rich people like cocaine - but not when they are retired. Gigi Rovito is not a popular guy in Burr Ridge and lots of village officials unhappy with him - if there was any sort of issues there, you would think they would jump on him.
Further if there is a fight at a restaurant in a small town owned by a guy who is on YouTube fighting with village trustees - to the extent there was 'damage done' that people had to pay for - you just think someone would cover it, or post about it or something. Like I said Gigi shares social media videos daily from his kitchen and has been.
Personally, not buying it.

A lot of 'you would think' and 'I would imagine' happening here. The article whether it's bullshit or not doesn't suggest there were any more than this one singular Latin King member there at the time so 'Latin Kings having dinner' or 'holding court' is more of you imagining things and it also mentions this Rooster had dealings with the Cicero guys going all the way back to the 1980's so it's not some 20 year old gang banger it's a grown adult likely in his 50's who probably wouldn't feel out of place in a restaurant full of people 'largely in their 60's'. It being a minor scuffle with a made guy involved in a restaurant owned by an associate they obviously didn't call police so why would the police, mainstream media or village officials pick up on it or have an opportunity to get involved at all? And why would you expect this associate to go spilling a made guys business on social media?NorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 9:50 am No ill will towards anyone who wants to believe Scott. You don't have to buy it but nothing about this story is as unbelievable as you would like to make it seem.

Re: Sarno Boys fight against Latin King man
People seem to get the restaurant confused with the lounge. The lounge is two doors down from the restaurant and is called “Are We Live”. The fight happened in the lounge. The lounge does have a lot of clients that go after eating but it also has a different clientele type. Lots of Euro Trash/Eastern Europeans go there and that is who Paulie got into it with the first time last year. Not unheard of for some Latinos to go. There has been complaints about the class of clientele declining there recently. Also, the lounge is open to 1am on the weekends.
That being said, not really sure I buy the Outfit paying off the Latin Kings and having a sit down with them over it. Never heard of “Rooster” and not sure why Scott would name him if he’s going to name Paulie.

Correct. Just like I stated before you have alot of cougars in there that are also Euro Trash who love cocaine and hooking up with guys that go there. Totally different crowd than the restaurant.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 4:12 pm People seem to get the restaurant confused with the lounge. Btw do not go to Are We Live unless you are asking for a confrontation eventually. Stick to the restaurant.

Re: Sarno Boys fight against Latin King man
Interesting info, thanks for posting. I figured the lounge crowd was almost all people strolling over from the restaurant after their meals, not a different clientele.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 4:12 pm People seem to get the restaurant confused with the lounge. Gigi does tend to market them as if they were one cohesive entity, which I suppose is where a lot of the confusion comes from.

Based on some of the IG reels he posts, it's definitely got a big time club vibe so that would make sense.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 4:12 pm People seem to get the restaurant confused with the lounge. There are so many Eastern Europeans in Chicago.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Wed Apr 02, 2025 4:12 pm People seem to get the restaurant confused with the lounge.
