I read it on Reddit:
Vic got a $4 million dollar tribute from Carmine Avellino and Vic wanted $2 million given to his wife, $1 million given to Matty, and $1 million given to a Lucchese associate that just got out of prison and was tight with Vic while inside. Vic also wanted the Lucchese associate made but instead Matty kept the associates $1 million, didn't induct him and just got him a no-show job.
The associate flipped as a result and it all came out what Matty had done.
That is true? When happened? And who is the associate name?

Why didnt vic just tell carmine to give the 1 million straight to the associate why did Matty get the 4 million and then distrubute it.

Pennisi mentioned this in a video. IIRC he never says Matty was shelved.
If nobody sees it, it didn't happen.

If I recall correctly the tribute was from Sal Avellino who was buying his way back in because he was on the shelf. I forget who the associate was but again if I recall correctly he was the brother of a member who flipped or was murdered.
