While the Mafia has been marginalized in the drug trade for the last 40 years, the NY families have continued to operate at the mid-level multi-kilo and pound level.

A while back I looked into all the drug cases involving the NY mob over the past 25 years. The Gambinos have had the most involvement, as well as involvement of made members, including those at a high-level. The Bonannos and Luccheses were about the same. The Genovese have had more involvement than some might expect but it's almost always been at the associate level. And if a member was involved, it was usually a soldier. The Colombos had the least involvement, relatively speaking, but that was probably more due to the overall state of the family than anything.

Lol yeah I’m gonna take the words of Ted Otto over yourself. Who is ex FBI and said he was working on the case until he retired and that he was every clear it’s happening and that it was a case that involved the leaders of the Gambino Family along with the Mafia in Italy
