Thanks Tony. I have mild prosopagnosia due to a neurological issue and I'm kind of fighting an uphill battle when figuring out if photos are legit or not, so the confirmations are appreciated. Figured it was him because he has on what looks to be the same outfit as in my avatar.

Have to wonder if prosopagnosia isn't common among Redditors given that they misidentify about half the mobster photos they post.

They pop up randomly in the various threads amid a horde of morons. Think I might start actively inviting them over here eventually.

JoePuzzles is the man. I personally enjoy the Facebook groups or the LIUNA forums bc so many of the Chicago guys have relatives in the unions - the ability to talk to sons and grandsons of these guys - I get a lot of these older photos from guys sharing them. Stories like this you just can't get anywhere else (this is Milwaukee Phil he's talking about):




Frank 'Calico Kid' Teutonico. His son says the moniker was not from shooting at a ceiling during a craps game - he did that - but the name was from him being a kid dressed up as a cowboy. One of the more cunning juice loan guys in the country if you really look at what he was doing/

I personally enjoy the Facebook groups or the LIUNA forums bc so many of the Chicago guys have relatives in the unions - the ability to talk to sons and grandsons of these guys - I get a lot of these older photos from guys sharing them.

They should of course be taken with a grain of salt, but one interesting "source" I've found is the random people in YouTube comments who seem to know these guys and say things about them that don't come across as especially outlandish. Just bits of intriguing info here and there. Also FWIW Solly D's son pops in YouTube comment sections a lot.

He was a redditor posting a lot of obscure photos, some of recent guys that thought he was an expert. Claimed to have a lot of current "sources". I communicated with him a bit via DM but stopped because he got a real shit attitude if you even remotely questioned him. He got banned and disappeared i believe.

Nick Rada once messaged me on the side after I mentioned him to be Willie Messino's relative on one of those fb posts. It was..odd.

Oh I know who that is. Yeah that's the guy I got all my rare Paul Carparelli photos from, I think. He posted a lot of pics like that. Wonder how he got them?
