I get where you’re coming from but Comello isn’t exactly credible. I’d take everything he says with a grain of salt. Comello probably tried getting with a relative of Cali’s (reportedly his niece?) & afterwards guys sent by Cali assaulted or more likely just threatened the already psychotic Anthony Comello. After getting threatened, Comello goes into a schizophrenic state & thinks the Gambino’s & the ‘deep state’ are trying to silence him, so he kills Cali. That’s just the way that I imagined it happened. But of course, I could be wrong.

Yes I believe he was answering a question maybe on like a live chat. His comment to the family was get out of there as "it's not a matter of if, but when". Of course we have no idea what has caused this, it could be an associate or fanboy trying to make a name as much as it could be a planned mob threat/attempt to hurt/kill someone. Comello was probably always mentally unstable, then combine it with the Qanon shit and it made him spiral even worse. You can easily lose yourself in that shit even if you were mentally strong before. You start to question everything, everything is a conspiracy, the end of the world is coming, jfk jr will save us, etc.

Deep down, we all were disappointed when we found out what actually happened. The main narrative behind Cali’s death is that some conspiracy theorist nutjob took him out. Even if you ignore the mainly accepted narrative, the murder just doesn’t seem like a mob hit in my opinion. The Gambino’s relying on Comello, a young guy with no known prior reputation, to take out an underboss doesn’t make sense to me.
I still remember logging on here that night and on the main page where it says "Last Post" next to each sub-forum, I saw "Frank Cali shot dead". Just an unbelievable moment.
And yeah, completely underwhelming when we found out who did it and what happened yet oddly fitting for the world we live in.
