Derp. Totally fell for this.
Re: Colombo Boss Carmine Persico Dies
So what would happen if he did die? What would change? Would there be problems in the family?

If we lose the old man, we lose our political contacts and half our strength. Nobody wants bloodshed anymore, if your father dies, you make the deal, Allie Boy.AG777 wrote:So what would happen if he did die? What would change? Would there be problems in the family?

Most likely nothing will change. From the info that has come out Little Allie Boy has been running the family since the late 90s. One informant (forgot who) also said ha became Official Boss in 2001. Not sure how accurate that part is since most other sources still have Carmine with that title but no doubt it is his son that is sending out the orders from prison.

I thought DiLeonardo said the families were going to have (or had) a meeting where it was proposed to make Allie Boy the official boss, but they didn't make a decision at the time. Could be wrong, though.
From the info that came out a few years back, it sounds like Andy Russo isn't far off from the official boss. I think it was Marangi who either discussed or maybe even taped a meeting of all the capos where Andy Russo was named acting boss and everyone applauded and congratulated him. Vic Orena basically had the powers of an official boss without the title, so I'd guess the same would apply to guys like Russo and Allie Boy when they have been acting boss.

That could be it and I'm just remembering it wrong. Going from memory (which could be wrong) he also said that Peter Gotti was made Official Boss around the same time as Little Allie Boy.
