Was reading LCNBios latest bio on Joseph Abate and I thought this bit below was interesting, Frank did your relatives ever talk about the Abate’s from NJ?

On June 27, 1975 FBI reported: "It should be noted Onofrio Abate from New Jersey [is] suspected of being an importer of illegal Sicilian aliens [and] has been in telephone contact with Philip Navarra from St. Nicholas St, Brooklyn, a Bonanno Family associate

Frank,

Did Peter’s wife have the first name “Cinzia”?

Ridgewood 79. Anything you can share about Vito DeFilippo he was the father of Patrick "patty from the bronx" De FeFilippo? It is my understanding that Vito was one of the main go betweens for the Bonanno's and Canada. A good friend of Joe Bonanno and well respected sicilian old timer. Vito was a mentor to Paul Volpe and got him inducted with the Buffalo family.

Thanks, Frank.

Just to confirm, Peter’s fiancée didn’t look like the Cinzia Lamberti whose 1982 yearbook photo appears below?

Hello Mr Frank, iam back. Thanks for everything.Great episode on your uncle.Vicious circles is one of the best books you can find out there when it comes to this subject.70s OC.I have same question as moneyman about Philiph Navarra, coz i have Philip Navarra in my notes dob 1913 as Bonanno guy,and i dont know exactly,I have to look for it,but I think the mention of this guy was in some kind of relation with your uncle. The guy Philiph, along with Tony Giordano they all had reputation as killers by the 70s.Iam preparing Email for you in few days. Two more photos of Frank Navarra

Thanks again, Frank. You’ve saved me time by helping me decide not to keep pursuing what is sure to be a dead end.

I may look at the puzzle from a different angle, though, and I’ll report back here if I find the piece.

Are the Ligammari’s still hanging around?

hey Ridgewood do you know anything about John notaro from brooklyn? Scillian heroiin guy. some in laws where very close to him and i hear he was a serious guy, but other than a bust in the 70s there is nothing on him. very under the radar. owned restaurants in bk. Batistas on ave N and at some point had something to do with the el caribe.
