There's also no evidence that Montreal ever broke away from the Bonannos.
Apart the fact that from 1999 they doesnt take order by Bonannos and that when Sal Montagna was deported back to Canada and try to take control of the former decina,he was whacked.
Montreal continued to kick up money to the Bonanno administration until at least the mid-2000s. There were also members of the decina who sided with Montagna when he was up there like Di Maulo and Gallo. Montagna wasn't even killed by the Rizzutos, his murder was ordered by Desjardins.

Who said that, still sending money to Bonnanos until the mid-2000?
For the Montagna murder, that was a mob war or a feud,if you dont stay with me I must kill you and Desjardins wanted to be the King of Montreal so Montagna should die.

If I'm not mistaken it was Massino on tape during a talk with Vincent Basciano.

Other big names behind Montagna: Joe Renda, Antonio Pietrantonio and Domenico Arcuri and his sons. And according to Scoppa, Tony Vannelli, Tony Mucci & Tony Volpato.

Yes originally we dissected the book he did with lcn news guy which he talked about getting payments from Montreal

This was also pre podcast and when no one likes cicale and called him a crack head. Other claims in the book were refuted also.

I wish he would discuss on his podcast - which also makes me wonder how much he really does know about situations up there
HANG IT UP NICKY. ITS TIME TO GO HOME.

It wasn't a whole family but there was the "Colombo brother's crew" which never reintegrated with the Colombo's following the war in the 1990s and operated on their own for a decade
