Re: OC Shortz and DiLeonardo
I know I know. You got a guy from the netherlands telling me about bookmaking in the northeast of America. You got this guy from god knows where in England (I cant listen more than 10 seconds before the accent makes me wanna crash my car into a pole). its how the world works now. turn on cnbc. a bunch of people talking about the market while people who really know about the market are actually trading in the market. not on tv talking about it. the nerds run everything now and if you try to tell them different youre a hater. up is down and down is up.

It was thought that when JR Rubeo was wiretapped Rooster Onofrio he says something to the effect "he never makes anyone" that he was referring to danny leo. even JD said it was Danny Leo per fbi reports.
i end up interviewing Rubeo (because of my gambling connections with a guy named spanky, if you know you know) and I ask and he says it wasn't Danny Leo he is referring to it was patsy. you can look for yourself in mughsot section. but maybe the fbi wanted the narrative to be danny leo. who knows. point is, even fbi docs are fallible. and even though you read thousands of documents you cant truly know something unless you live it.
you can read all about bookies and bookmakers. you will never understand the nuances of it unless you live it. the psychology of it. dealing with people. the give and take. the ups and downs. having to collect. having to see if you're being followed. wondering if you're phones tapped. how do i pay the office in costa rica? MoneyGram's? western union? btc? paypal? is it traceable? do i get a beard to do it? do i have a sharp player beating me continually. do i take a new player in the middle of the season? why do they need an out now? are they sharp and already kicked from another shop, or did they not pay and thats why they need a new book. some books wont take new players in middle of football season. i can go on and on and none of that would be in an fbi doc. im not talking to gohn, im talking in general.
getting back to OC. that was 100% a sneak sub. it was inferred he got cali jammed up. but he didnt. he was just reading the document with no color. just reading it verbatim and calling it fact.
all my interactions with Michael have all been on the up and up and hes been a complete gentleman. complete. what he was in Brooklyn in 1994 I have no idea. maybe he was an asshole like conerboy says at PaSTELS.
today the interactions I have had with him have all been good. and im not talking mafia, im talking yankees, life, the old neighborhood and nostalgia. he's been a good guy to me and thats all i can judge. B. can attest

If RJ was more informed instead of spending time boasting about 'making history' he and Scars could have a show with the credibility to avoid any potential swipes from other content creators. He's still more into 'The 36 rules of the bosses'.
I agree the implication that he got Cali convicted was sneaky.

He said Sunday the only people he was trying to talk to were JoJo and Johnny Rizzo to find out why he was shelved. Says Frank Cali was on the wire because he showed up and he didnt realize he was going to be there.

Re: OC Shortz and DiLeonardo
Scarses show is boring all him and RJ do is complement each other about how great of freinds they are and talk about how great John Gotti was.

Re: OC Shortz and DiLeonardo
I'm a fan. Michael is honest with the fact that he admires Gotti, doesn't hide anything there but is willing to criticize him when he feels the need. RJ is a good dude and i think he adds a lot, but he's probably flattering himself when he calls himself a serious researcher. There's also absolutely no doubt in my mind that he's got a man crush on John Sr. There are times when he gets legit giddy talking about him.
Re: OC Shortz and DiLeonardo
then he should speak on it. he still hasn't clarified what who n how. who he call the meeting with? how he was on the shelf? and where? why did frank cali show up. stop beating around the bush. no excuses.
Re: OC Shortz and DiLeonardo
I dont disagree, said he would do a show on it in full. We will see though he occasionally does this, we've been waiting on a few things he said he wanted to dedicate full shows to.
Re: OC Shortz and DiLeonardo
How in 2002 when he knows he on shelf does he ask to meet JoJo and Rizzo ? Stop blaming Oc shorts and just explain it
