I'm told Tony Spavone was commenting for a long time there bc Fosco would mock him (not sure his pseudonym). You can see this clip of his restaurant from the 1990s and a clip of his old man about halfway in.

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
I think it's about time for another dive into Fosco's ANP forums. It's been years since I looked around. It's interesting to go back in with greater knowledge gained on the outfit because you see names that you had no idea who they were when you read them originally in like 2010/2011, and now you're like "holy shit, they were talking about Louis Rainone in 2010!"
That, and the totally epic, spot on, ball busting. So polite on the surface, but seething with so much anger. "I understand your point, Horseyfart, and appreciate your contributions, but I would encourage you to place a sharp object up your rectum."
(that's not a real quote but very in the spirit of how they engaged with each other)

You saw the thing I posted earlier, about how Fosco saying in 2010 that he was the only Rainone brother capable of murder, right? I found it with a targeted Boolean operator search using Google for "Lou Rainone" as I saw people elsewhere on the internet calling him that instead of "Louie" and "Louis".Coloboy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 10:55 am I think it's about time for another dive into Fosco's ANP forums. Here's the search format. Just the name in quotes plus a site indicator thingy: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22lou+ ... wspost.com

Yep, your post about Louis Rainone and ANP inspired me for sure. Thanks for sharing the search format, that is awesome!! I would have had no idea how to do that. This will be fun.

The comment sections are often like a mile long, but if you're on Chrome you can press Ctr + F and type in whatever you're looking for Chrome will take you straight to it in the wall of text. Like if click on the link that the search string I gave above, then click on Ctrl + F and search for "Lou Rainone" (don't use quotes for this) it will scroll right to where it is instantly. Probably the same thing works on other browsers, not sure though.
The site has a built-in search engine but it looks like it doesn't search the comments and doesn't work with Boolean operators either. Fucking useless!

I was going to say, the commenting system on the interface he used on that website is such a fucking disaster.Ivan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 11:18 amThe comment sections are often like a mile long, but if you're on Chrome you can press Ctr + F and type in whatever you're looking for Chrome will take you straight to it in the wall of text. He said Tony Spavone was all over Burnstein's Outfit lists and it was 'laughable' - he framed Spavone as kind of a wannabe. He did lend credibility to Spavone's restaurant as being a location of a secret making ceremony that DiFronzo and Carlisi jointly presided over. He acted as if Spavone was an Artie Buco type just constantly catering to people who took advantage of him.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 3:02 pmRemind me what Fosco said about Tony Spavone?NorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 9:08 amI cannot delete this post but see the link was shared earlier by Tony - sorry for that. Fosco also indicated the old Maroons Club in Elmwood Park as being a location multiple members were 'made' in. He noted several Outfit members told him they were fortunate the FBI never searched or did DNA tests in the Maroons Club as several murders occurred there.

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Another recent death to add to the list. I have a photo of this individual that I am waiting to verify before posting.
https://www.carbonarafuneralhome.net/ob ... !/Obituary
DeVita worked for Nicholas Buddy Ciotti and Sam Ariola in Melrose Park. He's mentioned frequently on the old ANP forums as having a lot of sway in the current Outfit and being a major earner (obviously this was years ago). I think one tribute on his wall identifies
Joyce, I am so sorry and feel bad that I can’t make it to the church Thursday because I am out of state. I was friends with Joe since I was 15 yrs old. Even though I haven’t seen Joe much in the last 40 years, I still consider him one of my best old friends. Back then it was Joey, Louie, Joey (Frog), Buddy and me. Now I’m the only one left and it breaks my heart!
One thought comes to mind: Back then we were very foolish and very cocky. We thought we were indestructible. One time Joe said he’d go count our rivals. We asked how many and Joe said “17”. But there were only 6 of us. So what do you think Joe said? “Let’s do it!”
Joe asked everyone to go with him to join the Marines. Everyone said, “He’ll no!” But I said, “Let’s do it!” Obviously we never did.
So I imagine someday the old group will all be together again.
Love, Larry

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Thanks for posting. Did not hear about his death. He was close with Joe Culloto, Louie the Mooch and the Bastones. In fact I believe he took over the Bastones international gambling operations, especially in Costa Rica. He was living in Arizona for the most part I believe but maybe he moved back. Not sure how active he was as of recently. Anyone have any idea?NorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 9:06 am Another recent death to add to the list. Also I would like to add, he was always one of those guys that you heard was important but knew very little about bc of his low key style. From my understanding he was a big earner at one time.
Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
What's funny is Tony and I were recently talking about DeVita and wondering if he was still alive and Tony found this same obit. This was literally a week or so ago. I have some files on an investigation into Chicago vending machine rackets but the subject was redacted. Considering that both the Bastones and Eboli have been dead for years, DeVita was posited as the potential subject by us.

Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
DeVita is listed in FBI documents as having been involved in the suspicious death of Buddy Ciotti's wife. The story goes - as has been told on this forum by several people - that Lombardo asked Eboli's crew to hide the 'work car' they used in the Seifert hit - that car was hidden in Ciotti's garage. Ciotti was having marriage problems and the wife saw the car parked there - threatened to go to the cops and told all of this to Josep DeVita over dinner one night. She was found dead of a 'drug overdose' a day later despite her body showing signs of a physical beating.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 11:48 amThanks for posting. Did not hear about his death. I'll add the Larry Spino who commented on DeVita's obit is the former lieutenant of the melrose park police force - talking about growing up with these mob guys and seeing them again in 'heaven.' I thought that was kind of funny.
Re: General Chicago Outfit Info Dumping Ground
Fosco also hated DeVita, IIRC.
