Whats the situation of Philly Mob?

Post by furiofromnaples »

I know that I asked for this or those but now im serious.

1)How much members?

There are some chart here that list over 30 made men.

2) it still have some weight in Philadelphia underworld?

3) They still report to Genovese or have ties with the other families operating in NJ?

4)There are more blue collars or white collars?

Thanks for the infos.

They have about 40 identified members total (active, inactive, in prison) which would make them the largest outside New York, who they still seem to have a fair amount of interaction with. Collectively speaking, it always been a more street racket/blue collar family.
All roads lead to New York.

If you would have told me in the early 2000’s when Merlino and the whole crew went away for more than a decade that they would be (more than likely) the last viable family outside of New York I never would have believed it. Ligambi did a great job of holding that family together and continuing to make people.

In all likelihood Nick Oliveri is not a recognized member.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

They tried moving back into Atlantic City which is a big deal but an article came out not to long ago which said that Philly and the Outfit are on the “abyss”

I wonder how the family would be if Scarfo kept control until he passed away

Was he a Stanfa or Natale guy? Or some other reason he isn't "recognized"? And by chance, is there a connection to the Oliveri's of Pat's cheesesteak fame?

Nicky O was made when Tony Buck was the acting Boss, he was part of the Newark crew and his ceremony wasn’t recognized because George Fresolone taped it. He might have gotten recognition after the fact but I don’t believe there’s ever been confirmation of that, that’s why Pogo says ‘in all likelihood’.
