One thing he said recently that stood out to me is that Cicale was actively poaching guys left and right from Baldo Amato's circle after Basciano was elected boss. Cicale didn't have a good enough reputation in the Bronx to recruit guys even from his own neighborhood. Basciano favored earners at the time, and this is how Montagna ended up with the Bronx Bonnanos.

thx ridgewood ive always been really interested in Ridgewood/glendale and immediate surrounding areas.

Ridgewood79- any info or stories about that area would be greatly appreciated as that area is so foreign to me.

Dyker/bhurst etc and areas of manhattan are what im familiar w. Thankfully BK is behind me for quite a few yrs.
