Yes, when I saw this it surprised me, but it makes sense if accurate. (And I just noticed the typo: Tony, not Tiny LOL)Snakes wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 12:00 pmI don't remember there being one where Marcello said he wanted Sarno to take over. I tend to believe Marcello still tried to run things through Zizzo until he went missing and Sarno took over. This may have been one of the reasons he was moved to Admax, too, but that's just speculation.

I asked Tiny, but he doesn’t recall seeing this document before:Antiliar wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 4:35 pmYes, when I saw this it surprised me, but it makes sense if accurate. I think Tiny's too shy to say anything.

Interesting. I've never heard his name associated with either. I can ask Joker, but those guys are notoriously closed mouthed when asked direct questions.PolackTony wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 10:27 amThat was Mickey Davis you’re thinking of. He was an associate of Pete DiFronzo and was sent to collect on a debt from RJ Serpico in MP. Davis then reached out to Gigi Rovito to have someone throw a “fucking thorough beating” on Serpico. Gigi got Paulie Cap, who of course got Georgie Brown, who was cooperating with the Feds.
Davis was probably another former street gang guy, like many of them now. He grew up in Logan Square as a tough guy so I suspect he was with the Palmer Square or Lawndale Gaylords, though I don’t know that for a fact.

Lombardo was also sent to AdMax, correct and I think that was for a plot against the judge or something? Seems like overkill but also the most effective way to eliminate a mob boss from running things on the street. I've wondered if Marcello or Lombardo would interact at all with Vincent 'Vinny Gorgeous' Basciano as there are not that many mob guys in that level of incarceration.

A notorious old head from the Palmer Square chapter of the Almighty Gaylords. Extremely tough and respected GLs section as they were surrounded by the roughest PR gangs in Chicago (https://www.gaylords712.com/pgln.html).
Joker is the guy on the left rocking the GLs sweater in this pic from the 70s:

Yeah he said it to Mitch Mars IIRC. Actual quote was "You're a fucking dead man" (I'm a stickler for these things).
Spookily enough, Mars passed away of natural causes about a year after this happened.
Thanks Tony. Youngest GLs are all like 60+ now right? I remember there was a weird bust involving gun running by ancient Gaylords like 10 years ago, something like that.PolackTony wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 6:01 pmA notorious old head from the Palmer Square chapter of the Almighty Gaylords. This isn't verified info but someone posted this in 2015 on the other forum:SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 1:48 pmDo we have names?Snakes wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 1:01 pmThis was rumored years before Burnstein said anything about itSonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 12:59 pm Im like a herion addict.
I hate doing this but cant help myself.
Burnstein on the Outfit.
Mike Sarno made 2 dozen guys between 05-10.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kC2vWIaQs4
Its ok, I hate me too.
Collaboration?
Some of the people Sarno made have been speculated upon endlessly - guys like Steve Panzarella and Mark Montana - business owners and real estate guys who were with the Cicero crew but don't necessarily look like gangsters. These guys have been getting their hooks into Indian casinos throughout the midwest for years.

Not all 60+, though I don’t believe that they actively recruit anyone today. You noted the 2011 weapons trafficking case with the GLs, which also involved a shooting and a homicide, and several of the guys charged there were in their early 40s at that time. In the 1990s there were still young GLs on the Far NW Side and they maintained active chapters at Sayre Park and Kilbourn Park into the 2000s (the last vestige of what they once were). I haven’t lived in Chicago in a long time though so others here may know more about their current status. So far as I know they are no longer active as an organization, apart from some former members who may maintain some criminal activities.Ivan wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2024 7:33 pmYeah he said it to Mitch Mars IIRC. With respect again to that gun bust, some of these guys don’t exactly go quietly into the night. Look at Chuckie Russell as a prime example lol.

As far as candidates for guys that were made during that rumored Sarno period between 2005-2010, these are 100% speculation but are good candidates based on whatever info is out there. I would absolutely also think there are some guys that no one on this board has ever heard of and aren't listed here.
Matteo Lobue
Massimo Lobue
Louis Ranoine
Paulie Carparelli
Steve Panzarella
Mark Montana
Joey Guarino

https://www.proceso.com.mx/nacional/200 ... 50900.htmlWisconsin's Lac du Flambeau Band is set to kick off in April Cancun, Q Roo, February 18 (apro)- In a new attempt to start the business of floating casinos in Cancun, and despite the existing legal restrictions for the operation of this type of tourist attraction, it was announced that a U.S. company, owned by the Lac du Flambeau Band Indian tribe, from the state of Wisconsin,
It's all set to kick off next April with a casino boat According to versions confirmed by the State Secretariat of Tourism, that tribe made an investment of 2 million dollars to bring a casino boat, which is intended to operate in Cancun starting next April The scheme is the same one that Europa Jet and Casino Cancun tried before and another company that didn't even bring its boat; the first two during the last six-year term, and the remaining one in 2004: to go to sea daily so that, in international waters, roulette and slot machines can be played, among other games with bets, which are currently prohibited in national territory The group rented the boat The Dream Catcher, which has been conditioned to have games and artistic activities on board, and which will dock daily in Cancun, in the Mexican Caribbean, for which procedures have already been advanced with tourism authorities in Quintana Roo
The U.S. tribe invested $2 million to partner with Chicago businessmen Steve Panzarella, Mark Montana and Alex Salerno to acquire and refit the 30% owned boat This indigenous community hopes to recover its investment in the first year of operation, in addition to starting new work projects in the tourism sector of this Mexican vacation destination However, it should be remembered that in Cancun there are already three previous attempts to establish a casino boat that, precisely, intended to do the same thing as this new project of the Wisconsin tribe The first was because the ship ran aground while trying to pass through the access channel to Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, on its maiden voyage
Meanwhile, the other two, one of them last year, never materialized because the Mexican authorities did not give the permits for the boats to dock in a national port to get tourists on and off In these last two cases, the businessmen who tried to offer the casino service brought the boats, but they never came into operation Finally, it should be noted that Mexico does not have casinos in its territory, and Congress is currently studying an initiative that would allow the installation of this type of gambling centers in cities that have tourist infrastructure as of 2009, as a way to promote the country's development

Regarding Greco & Sons, I was told there are a few Cicero Crew members in these photos:
https://franoi.com/food/greco-sons-spre ... day-cheer/
It's interesting because its owned by Sysco now - you would think a major corporation would kind of monitor this closely.

I see Jimmy Inendino, Gianni Russo, and Mike Starr in those photos.
