Thank you

Depends on your definition of "hefty". But I've earned out all my advances to receive royalties, so hoping will be the case here as well.
Congrats on the book deal ,
How does that work with the advance? You have to earn it back before you get royalties ? Do they give you good percent of the books ?
Exactly. Say you get a $5000 advance. You have to sell enough books to cover that before you start to get paid royalties.
% per book (print and digital) is generally negotiable. This is my third book with Rowman Littliefield so easier to negotiate that.

OC Shortz has access to a lot of FBI 302s that note Catena and has done several podcasts showing him as too-far-removed and comfortable with his wealth. Have you viewed any of the podcasts and are you leveraging the 302s? Thomas Eboli, based on these, is quite sharp in astute and is often at odds with Catena. Catena folded to Carlo Gambino.

Yeah, I was on his podcast a few months ago and he sent me copies of the eboli materials. Interesting stuff.

In researching your book, did you learn anything you didn't know before? Was there anything that surprised you?

Still researching. I'll circle back to this in a month or two and let you know.
