Second time that Vito Rappa has been pinched in association with the Gambinos (first time was back in 2007). He is Francesco Nania’s BIL and a member of the Borgetto Family, of which his father, Francesco Rappa, was a boss. Presumably related to Rappas from Borgetto involved in the Pizza Connection and narcotics trafficking in Chicago back in the day.

The names indicted in Sicily in conjunction with the US indictments:

Francesco Rappa, nato a Palermo (81 anni), Giacomo Palazzolo, nato a Balestrate (77), Giovan Battista Badalamenti, nato a Torretta (69), Salvatore Prestigiacomo, nato a Palermo (50), Isacco Urso, nato a Verbania (40), Salvatore Prestigiacomo, nato a Palermo (54) e Maria Caruso, nata a Palermo (39)

Presumably, Francesco Rappa is Vito’s father; not sure if he is still currently the boss of Borgetto.

Also not sure where the US-based Francesco Vicari is from, but that surname is very common in Borgetto so I’d suspect that he’s likely a Borgetto member as well.

Also, WTF is Kyle “Twin” Johnson from the Bx? Is this a black Gambino associate? Looks like they were using this guy for violent extortion of cartage companies. There was a Kyle Johnson busted on weapons and narcotics charges a few years ago at an apartment on Fulton Ave by Crotona Park, no idea if it’s the same guy.

Not to sound like a fan boy …. But I see this guys as “the real deal” types - all relevantly young(ish) with obvious international connections ….. they pull a “Dom Grande/Peter Tuccio” and get a 10 year pinch - come out and possibly become bosses

I do admit I love the Sicilian / Gambino clan and wouldn’t mind having one of them flip just to get info on what’s going on would be great.

Noticing that there is a lot of Sicilian connections ever since the “takeover of the Sicilians claims” that some ppl didn’t wanna say there is any takeover scenarios…. Could possibly show otherwise

Tantillo and Gradilone are soldiers in his crew. Capeci has reported before that Filippelli was under investigation, his name was all over the Miljanic case and James Cahill one too.

Scratch that. Capeci had it wrong. Tantillo, Gradilone and LaForte are members of Lanni's crew.
