In a recent interview with Vlad TV, former federal prosecutors Dan Dorsky and Mike Campi claimed that Allie Shades was going to help Gotti kill Chin so he could take over the Genovese family. Has anyone ever heard this before?

Good question. I remember reading that he got out on parole in 2010 after serving around 13 years. If hes still alive hes almost 87. I doubt hes active at all but who knows with these guys haha.

I realize this is a silly question, but this is the place for such a question.

I always hear and read about a mafia associate or member extracting a certain percentage of a business, legal or illegal. How the hell do they know what percentage they are getting? If you are getting tribute from a sportsbook, which is an illegal cash based business, how do you know if you are getting 5% or 50%? I suppose with a legal business you could ask to see the books?

Most made guys are very persuasive and great at developing moles within businesses legal and illegal that give them info on how well or poorly a business might be doing. The threat of violence is always there, if they find out even accidentally that they’re getting screwed it’s an embarrassment and they have to make that right by hurting someone.

Anyone have a DOB and DOD on Genovese soldier Arthur Roccomonte?

I believe that he was born Alfonso Roccamonte 1913/08/04 in NYC to Fiore Roccamonte and Nicoletta (maiden name possibly Manzo), of the comuni of Campagna and Polla in Salerno province, Campania.

If I’m correct, then he died 1994/03/14 in Montclair, NJ.
