Any respected posters on here actually read that Science Fiction novel written by George A and can comment?

Again , I haven’t read it and never will but I heard rediculous things about it like in one Chapter Alite is talking about having shoot outs with rival factions sneaking up to his house with machine guns and bazookas in Cherry Hill hahahahaha

Get a life bro, you act like you are a gangster. You are just a lil guy who wishes you were in the life
It sounds like you are one of the 3 losers who purchased an Aliar I mean Alite signed baseball bat, I feel extremely sorry for you.

I bet you use it to try and impress the fat pigs that you are condemned to fucking in your hometown of Casper, Ohio at the local Elks bar.

Save up all your money over the winter and take a vacation to the Jersey Shore this summer where I live, I will tell you via PM exactly where to find me, I’m not hard to find at the Jersey Shore.

I am not going to participate in this pathetic keyboard tough guy over the computer shit any further with you , I appreciate your anticipated cooperation.

I am sorry that your life sucks but don’t take it out on me.

Again, why so angry. I bet you live in a double wide with your sister

Hmmm, I don't know George, but probably not before the first 75 times you said "Make money, not headlines" while rehashing the same few murders for 20 years.

George seems like he was trying to hide how butt hurt he is that Joey has a podcast but it didn’t work. Sounds like they think this podcast could potentially cause a lot of problems for Joey.

I respect George a lot for his early work. Obviously I wouldn't be this interested in Philly mob stuff with out him. But he seems a little jealous of new reporters and their sources even if its governments documents. He is still on podcast as recent as a month ago talking about Scarfo being banished to AC. Its like come now George you were wrong, its been proven, stop telling people stuff that isn't true because you want it to be.

I saw one of their videos a few years ago and Anastasia actually said "with Bruno murder was a negotiating tool of last resort....with Scarfo it was a calling card" so he shouldn't be throwing stones about stuff getting old lol. He deserves credit for the work he's done in this field but he appears to be obsolete now.

Not to harp on about unsolved murders, given that the Casasanto hit is nearly two decades old at this point and shows no signs of being cleared up, but something that Schratwieser said did stick out to me, because I'm not sure it has ever been mentioned publicly until this point; he states at one point "three guys being seen down the block [from Casasanto's house] in front of a market half a mile away". I bring this up because a) I don't believe someone had ever given this piece of information before, and b) In an, I believe My City Paper article shortly after Casasanto's death, which unfortunately I think was deleted, the PPD mentioned they had their sights set on a suspect known as "Twitch" who frequented the 9th & Moore Mini Market in South Philadelphia, which is a mile away from Casasanto's Durfor Street home. It just stuck out to me.

I've thought about this individual nicknamed Twitch a little bit. In his testimony in the Ligambi trial, Lou Monacello said he knew Michael Salvo was sometimes referred to by the nickname Twitchy. However, I believe in the article you mentioned it notes that 'Twitch' was a nickname given to a suspect by investigators, which means it may not be a street nickname. The most obvious potential suspect that stands out in my mind is Michael Virgilio. It's plausible at least to me that investigators may have nicknamed him Twitch after his performance in court during the Merlino and co RICO trial when he showed up without taking his medication for Tourettes and visibly shook. It's also conceivable that Virgilio could have been used for work since Natale identified him as the shooter in the Anthony Turra murder and said he was proposed for membership.

As always, great and insightful analysis Chin, which I hadn't even considered given my limited research.

I think it has been reported before, they had various security and surveillance videos but the quality is likely terrible and the guys probably had hoodies or something of the sort on. If it was anything of substance someone would be indicted by now. smooth hit tbh. Philly had a few nicely planned hits, until the Dipietro murder, that one was horrible and almost had to be spur of the moment.

It's hard not to laugh at Anastasia a little bit when he makes a new video wearing those suits and walking with a wiseguy's swagger talking thinly veiled frustration about Merlino having a podcast. George can't figure out how to still get paid for what he does, his brand is obsolete, and I think Joey makes more money soon on his thing online than George ever will again.

My hope is that George and Dave need to step their game up now. For years they have pushed theories and innuendo on who is involved in murders, without mentioning them specifically. If Joey takes their market share, they may have to become a little more provocative in the information they release.

You said respected so I may not qualify. I bought & read it when it came out basically because of George and his older books being so good. At the time I thought the book overall was solid. No Blood & Honor but solid. The overall theme kinda picked at Junior which was warranted after the 302 stuff came out. Now after semi-following Alite I def think his credibility has taken a hit. He’s like the Chuck Norris joke of the mob. I mean, the guy baseball batted more guys than Tony Gwen base hits…

So the book has aged poorly with what we know about Alite now but i don’t even remember any Alite stories. I just remember it more for being critical of mainly Junior but all the Gottis.
