Creatine is legal, very safe, and extremely effective (especially for newbies).
It didn't make me stronger per se in the sense of being able to pick up heavier weights than usual, but performance increase in terms of endurance blew my mind. It increased the number of repetitions I could do of various resistance training exercises by about 50% without me doing anything else (i.e., the creatine alone did it, apparently). Same deal with cardio (big cardio fan, do 10 hours a week usually) -- allowed me to last much much longer on the treadmill. Happened fast, too; the "roughly 50% improvement" kicked in after doing a loading phase for I think a week it was.
From what I understand this is a pretty extreme outlier response and for most people it's more like "a couple extra reps" than "50%." Bear in mind that I was an almost total newbie.
Only thing I don't like about it is how it makes my face get all round and puffy, looks ridiculous. But I'll stick with it for this first year at least as I beat my body into a fairly fit shape.

Joey Baldino is a big juice head and always in the gym , that’s one thing for sure…..
Ask him if he uses creatine next time you see him.
