Obviously I lean towards the former being more accurate than the information in Carlo’s book. My copy of Gaspipe is in storage. In can’t recall if he shared any of his own opinions on Crea in the book.

Crea isn't mentioned at all in Gaspipe. There's quite a few significant guys who are completely missing.

pizza boy and picasso they both had interesting stories to tell but more than half were lies. is that an accurate statement?

Fwiw, I don’t think Lenehan and Pizzaboy compare. One outright denied his identity, claimed to be a made man and made a volume of posts about vague “slice of life” stories about his time in the mafia. The other concealed his identity but made it clear he was just a person from the same neighbourhoods and made his own observations. Comparing pizzaboy to Pic doesn’t really track.

I think that D'arco was robbing the family. that is one rare thing I can offer that came from someone who would have an idea but little al prob flipped 30 yrs ago. the guy who gave me the info is a total asshole but at one point was on the inside.

Wait are people saying Pizzaboy was full of crap? His stories were always really believable "I'm from the neighborhood and was exposed to those guys a bit" type stories, not any big unbelievable claims.

It seems like some folks experienced evidence that he wasn't who he claimed to be personally, so thus his other info is also much more questionable now.

Known Pizza many years on forums .

He told me after many many conversations that he had to change (fabricate) many things about himself.
When you are close to made guys or even savvy associates you have to be extremely careful. Street guys are not stupid and can figure out quick who some from just a few conversations.
The guys in the life know about these forums and pretty sure some read in detail.
That being said i took everything with grain of salt.
He never posted about the mafia on mafia forums for many many years he posted about everything else hundreds and hundreds of posts about everything but what he morphed into after reading and learning about everything.
Then he started posting that he was loosely connected.
Then he started filling in all the pieces.

I think he grew up where he says , I think he was / is loosely connected. But he absolutely told me he had to embellish to be safe .

Mostly everything he said make complete sense if you grew up where and how he has .
