Colombo soldier Joseph Montaleone out after 30 years in prison
Joe Monteleone spent nearly 30 years in prison after being convicted of racketeering and murder charges, the latter stemming from the last major NY mafia war involving the Colombos.
Joe Monteleone was part of a crew run by the Russo family, which included recently deceased Andy (Mush) Russo. Joe and a number of others (including some Russos) were found guilty of racketeering and murder offenses including the killing of John (Johnny Cannolis) Minerva & Michael (Big Mike) Imbergamo as part of the late 1990s Colombo war.

This guy was kind of a big shot, wasn't he?
Funniest shit ever was on the Gioeli stories that Gohn wrote for his site, Montaleone got left behind on a hit or something and had to call his GF to bring him back from Long Island to Brooklyn. Obviously the guy just did 30 years so he really didn't get away with anything, but it's amazing he got away that night at the very least.

Guzzo has as much a chance at a compassionate release as Dom Cicale does winning a spelling bee...furiofromnaples wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 12:19 pmEven Vito Guzzo want a compassionate releaseTonyd621 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:39 am https://casetext.com/case/united-states-v-monteleone-2

He's certainly ready for retirement, not only because of his age, but also because he's confined to a wheelchair and uses a urinary catheter. I think these guys get to a point where they ask themselves: was it worth it to spend practically my whole life and health on this? In my opinion, it's an interesting thought.furiofromnaples wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 11:02 am83 y old, ready for retire.Tonyd621 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 9:39 am https://casetext.com/case/united-states-v-monteleone-2
