I was going to say the same thing.There must've been at least 100 guys more capable and smarter than dom all trying to get vinny to take them under his wing.The only thing i can think of was dom knew alot of high ranking guys from his childhood like Ernie Muscarella and he also said he was family friends with matty madonna so maybe needed him so he can have a personal connection to high ranking guys from other families

Was wondering the same thing...I asked Dom in the comments of one of his vids why Hootie would and Dom said he's never heard of him...but...the last vid Dom posted about sending Ace to rough up the gambling debtor in Howard Beach, Hootie told the exact same story in his first video back posting 2 weeks ago...Cicale told the story pretty much exactly the way Hootie described it so take it FWIW...
