Whst happened to Alphonse Trucchio

I listened to that Howard Santos interview and he's the 2nd person, with Hootie being the 1st, to say that Al really wasn't liked by the old timers and higher ups. Yet there's been lots of surveillance and documentation of him meeting with the most powerful people in that family spanning several years. I get that his dad was respected and goes back with the Corozzos since he was a little kid - but it seems like an awful lot of responsibility and trust to give to someone (especially someone that young) out of loyalty to his dad that was going to die in prison.

Plus if his dad really put him in that position, it doesn't mean he couldn't have been taken down afterwards by the people in charge. It also wasn't like he was the only one capable of making money. Anyone could have made money with a crew that large and active, I don't know...just seems weird to hear a couple guys say he was this and that, and shouldn't have been made or whatever. They must have been happy with the job he was doing and how he carried himself while he was doing it at least - up until they all got busted.

It seems like the only person who thinks Hootie was tight with Al is Hootie. Anytime I hear or read about that crew Hootie's name is never mentioned and he was married to Todd LaBarca's sister. He's a former low level drug dealer who is now a junkie.

The speculation that Al wasn't a powerful guy in his own right is not only unsubstantiated, but the evidence indicates the opposite.
Yes his old man was a Capo, but serving a life sentence. How much sway you think this guy has? Al's a loser and just because of his dad's pull he's not only made but bumped?
Multiple sources cite his crew as one of the largest and biggest moneymakers in the whole family. That due to his dad too?
Met with Philly as a rep of the family. How is this anything but a testament to his respect within the family.

I agree, I also recall reading that his crew was one of the youngest and most active crews in the family.

I haven’t seen all of Hooties videos but I know that he has also given Al credit in some videos. He mentioned that he wasn’t the most violent guy in the family but he certainly was a tough guy not to be disrespected. I recall a video of Hootie saying Al held a knife to some guys throat and that if he found out you were calling him “Ronnie’s kid” you were gonna get assaulted and hit in the head with axe handles. He also said that Al was boss material as well

I agree NewEra, something doesn’t seem to matchup. Trucchio was made very, very young, then was allegedly made captain at 25, again very young. And not only was he made/bumped to captain at a young age, he was also running one of the most active crews that was a major money producer. I guess there’s the chance that the new leadership were not fans of him, but he was still very much an asset to the family.organization as a capo.

I also listened to that episode of The Sitdown and it felt like Santos had a beef with Trucchio - he even admitted that during the interview but he claims that they had made up and we’re friends again shortly after the beef.

I’m curious to see what other’s thoughts on Nadu’s podcast are. I listen here and there when I’m caught up on my other podcasts and need something in the background but I find he tends to sensationalize stuff that has been proven as incorrect gossip here. Also, it’s ironic how much Nadu’s stance on snitches has “evolved” from the beginning of the podcast (when he wasn’t sponsored by Barstool) where he was one of the loudest voices from the anti-rat crowd to having Gravano and numerous other informants on his show. His new message stresses how important it is for his listeners to hear all perspectives - while true, also coincidentally lines up to when his show got sponsored by Barstool and I’m sure being under that umbrella added an air of legitimacy not to mention funding helped.

Then there is Nadu’s haircut and wannabe gangster/fanboy appearance/attitude which can be off putting coupled with his twitter persona which is incredibly defensive and arrogant. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, just a simpleton mob fanboy with a bit of a Napoleonic complex.

Frogiero was with Mastrangelo. He was under Trucchio before he was straightened out then after he was made he was given to Mastrangelo as he was viewed as a brokester and Frogiero was a huge earner.

I was looking at photos from another site and there was a picture of Al and Michael Roccaforte...a poster commented Roc was s stand up guy but called Al a punk and a dry snitch...I have never heard anything like this about Al...now, Alite claims Ronnie One Arm dry snitched him in his opening statements in a case in Florida where he briefly represented himself...but I'm confused cause I've never heard Al Trucchio being anything other than stand up...
