Re: Steve Crea
The story about Campos offering Cefalu amillion dollars to retire and Cefalu said no and called him a spick was a weird oneSonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 10:23 amCorrect. PB, was not who he alluded to be.Little_Al1991 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 8:18 amPB hasn’t said anything about the transition from Bronx to Brooklyn…
He was overrated and extremely biased, that’s not me taking a shot at him
He ridiculously claimed that had Vic and Gas stayed on the street for another couple of years, that the Genovese Family would have backed the Lucchese Bronx Faction in taking both of them out.
He claimed for years Crea was the actual boss and Vic was nothing. Bullshit.
He also claimed Stevie Jnr was 100% NOT involved in the life.
Good call there. Guy is a captain.
Pennisi's opinions about Matty and Stevie Jnr should be taken with a grain of salt. Pennisi flipped, Matty and Crea Jnr stood up. Each could've buried that family. Take that for what you will.
Re: Steve Crea
Where did this cefulo Campos one come from. The guys a capo and cefulos his boss? Interesting story

He DM me once. He told me about he would drive up to the Boston area occasionally. Think funeral home stuff. Also said he had a uncle that was with the Westside Harlem crew I forgot the name. I kinda believe him but hey it's the internet. I used to be handball and spades partner with Mike nose lol.
Re: Steve Crea
On Crea I think he got railroaded on the meldish murder charge. He didn't order it he had nothing to gain from it. He probably didn't even want it to happen. That guy got porked for being the underboss that's it. The judge was like maybe he knew about it and didn't stop it or whatever. Is that book the lady wrote still around a link. I would like to read it. I thought it was free. The one about the Madonna crea trial
Re: Steve Crea
preciseley the answer I was seeking by asking that question. Thank youBruno187 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 5:40 amCrea was viewed as potential Boss material for quite a while in the 90's and 2000's after all the craziness of Casso ....the power base WAS the Bronx for quite a while with DiNapoli and Crea being a big part of why that was. As someone else mentioned, the winds are very fickle.CornerBoy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2023 3:42 amThanks Al and Bruno - so he was an underboss more or less for 30 yrs?Little_Al1991 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 3:50 am Crea became Underboss in 1993 and then became the Acting Boss in 1998, after DeFede’s conviction.
Crea was into labor racketeering, he had a lot of money.
According to Pennisi, Crea was also seen as the leader of the Lucchese Family by members, even though Matty was the Acting Boss but Vic put him in their because he wanted someone who he could control.
Stevie is well respected and was even offered the opportunity to become the Acting Boss, if he beat his 2017 case. The old Brooklyn faction met with him and told him that if he beat his case, he would become the Acting Boss.
Was he on street for d'arco and defede?
Did he ever try to force Vic and the BK mofuckas out bring the base to bronx?
Appears that he wields or wielded lol a lot of pwr.
So Crea had to take orders from madonna who sounds like a fucking asshole?
That pennisi claim seems nebulous.....
I think that the charts the public has access to are only fifty perccent as accurate as we think
Crea never took orders from Madonna.....Madonna didn't even get straightened out until relatively late in life after he got home from doing that long bid. Crea didn't have the type of hitters around him that the Bklyn guys did so he had no choice but to take a step back after they made the move on his power. Honestly I don't even know why he would give a shit at that point after having about a 30 year run of making serious money and surviving the Vic and Gas era.
What threw me off was that some guys become acting boss after being made for such a short period of time. seems this guy just stayed in his area and amassed a nice chunk of cash.

Re: Steve Crea
pizza guy was lying about everything?
Or he somehow surmised that Campos (the guy that robbed all that money w richie martino) offered Cefalu 1M to retire? Every deal has "consideration" What did campos want in this bizarre, proposed quid pro quo? Campos wanted to be boss?

I mean, plenty of people in TN etc. "know" Basciano. Lots of people live here and have social/casual contact with these guys, of course, so some of it could have been partial truth in terms of neighborhood stuff.Browniety86 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 7:08 amPizza also claimed to be live close to and roundabout know Vinny Basciano...also he acted like he knew what happened to Ralphie Coppola but he never would say...this all was posted on "the other site"...Pmac2 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 3:02 am He DM me once. He would say what he said with such conviction that it seemed as if he had some insider information to which he clearly didn’t
