Re: American Mafia 1990s Murders
Furio, Michael Cutler was a witness to the 1997 beating of Lenard Clark by Frankie Caruso Jr and two of his buddies in Bridgeport. It wasn’t a murder, though the 13-year-old Clark was badly injured and left with permanent neurological damage. Michael Cutler was a witness to the beating who had told investigators that he had refused to participate in the attack. Cutler was shot to death in what was reported as a robbery attempt in the Far West Side Austin neighborhood in 1998. The murder remains unsolved. At the time and since, observers have raised doubts about the robbery narrative, doubts which I very much share (even the idea that an Irish kid from Bridgeport was supposedly hanging out at Erie and Mayfield is already odd), but the murder has never been definitely linked to the mob.

Bruno Facciola (respected wiseguy killed on Casso order for be a "rat")
Michael Salerno (killed on Casso order for be a "rat")
Anthony DiLapi (Wanted to retire Casso interpreted his retirement as disloyalty and ordered to kill him)
1991
Laurence Taylor (Fall Out With Leadership)
Alfred Visconti (Fall Out With Leadership)
Facciola was killed because Eppolito told Casso that he was a rat
Salerno was killed because he could have attempted to take over the family when Vic and Gas went on the lam (a couple of other reasons factored into that but that’s the main one)
DiLapi was killed because he refused to come in when Amuso called him to
Taylor and Visconti were killed because they wanted revenge for Facciola’s death

Re: American Mafia 1990s Murders
Joey Naples was actually killed in an unsanctioned hit by Amil Dinsio as a weird attempt to impress Lenny Strollo, one of the strangest hits in mob history.

Re: American Mafia 1990s Murders
Also, even though Ronnie Jarrett was shot in December 1999 he didn't succumb to his injuries until January 2000.PolackTony wrote: ↑Tue Mar 14, 2023 1:00 pm Furio, Michael Cutler was a witness to the 1997 beating of Lenard Clark by Frankie Caruso Jr and two of his buddies in Bridgeport.
