Non-Italians and the Chicago Outfit

Re: Non-Italians and the Chicago Outfit
Heres another interesting info regarding old time Italian made member Pete Lordo (allegedly belonged to the old Capone faction). It is possible that Lordo belonged to the old South Side (Capone) group under Ferraro and Alex, or maybe he belonged to another crew, something which needs to be additionally researched.
According to the information, it seems that Lordo (made guy) wanted to open a new operation or racket in some of Alex's areas, but first he needed an "ok" from Alex which he later allegedly received it.
So, this just one of the many evidences regarding Alex being a OFFICIAL district boss who had made guys under his rule (obviously through Ferraro, the underboss) and was respected and followed protocol like the rest of the Italian capos or district bosses.

Yup and Morton was also one time general manager of the Playboy Club, who always provided Alex with his best “products.” Since day one, Alex and his friends were involved in prostitution, a racket which they allegedly learned from Jake Guzik, and this was quite productive connection for the Playboy corporation.
Morton was also the one who allegedly introduced Alex to one hot blond German female known as Suzanne Fueger (Alex's future wife), who was one of Playboy’s bunnies, while old time Capone mobster Eddie Vogel (one of Alex's mentors) also had one of the "bunnies" from that same place, known as Peggy Strak. In fact, Vogel often gave Peggy to Alex for his own entertainment.
These guys simply enjoyed life Lol

In addition to my previous post regarding Outfit member Pete Lordo and Gus Alex...well it seems Lordo really belonged to the old South Side group under Ferraro and Alex.Villain wrote: ↑Fri Mar 10, 2023 4:36 am Heres another interesting info regarding old time Italian made member Pete Lordo (allegedly belonged to the old Capone faction). Also it seems that Lordo was related through marriage to Caifano's family...

Re: Non-Italians and the Chicago Outfit
As I previously showed you, we obviously have evidences regarding the EXISTENCE of a non-Italian group within the Chicago Outfit, with their own OFFICIAL POSITION on the syndicate's "round table" or the board of directors.
The MAIN PROOF regarding the existence of their official seat was the LINE OF SUCCESSION which means that same position was real or official.
Jake Guzik allegedly held that position from the early or mid 1930s (after his release from prison), until his death in 1956.
Murray Humphreys succeeded Guzik from 1957 until 1965 or until his death, who in turn was succeeded by Gus Alex.
Also after Guziks death, Alex was the one who inherited all of Guzik's former contacts and rackets in the First Ward, Loop, Near South and the whole South Side, while Humphreys was his representative on the board of directors. According to Humphreys' own words, he allegedly didnt undertand gambling very well and this is where Alex also comes in.
After Humphreys' death, Alex inherited the seat until 1972, when he received even higher position next to Accardo and Aiuppa or the top level hierarchy.
It is quite possible that the next individual who inherited the so-called non-Italian seat in 1972/73 was probably an Italian made member of the Outfit, Pat Marcy, while Alex remained at the top until his imprisonment in 1991/92. It is quite possible that Alex never named a successor.
In some cases the non-Italian position was named as "TREASURER" or in other, the informants labelled as "ADVISOR", because the individual acted as some type of "consiglieri" for the top level members, such as boss and underboss.
In fact, because of the long time close relationship between Humphreys, Alex and Frank Ferraro (we have multiple evidences that Ferraro held the underboss position), after his death in 1964 or in 1967, the FBI ONLY ONCE "mistakenly" labelled the late Ferraro as the previous Outfits "treasurer" and that later ALEX TOOK OVER HIS DUTIES.
The non-Italian representative also had to RIGHT TO VOTE regarding many internal subjects, including the ELECTION of a NEW Italian boss of the organization and regarding the rest of the organizational structure. The non-Italian reps also had the right to vote if families of made members should be taken care or not, financially.
The position also oversaw all types of members (made and non-made) and the individual also acted as "MEDIATOR" or arbiter between them. (again similar to Italian consiglieri) If the non- Italian representative and the Italian underboss werent able to settle the dispute, then it was ONLY for the Italian boss of the organization to take care of the problem.
The non-Italian position also oversaw the MAIN Outfit finances, political and union connections, legitimate operations and "out of the country" contacts.
The non-Italian representative CONTROLLED HIS OWN multiple areas and districts and also certain rackets, such as gambling, prostitution, loan sharking, corruption and extortion.
Anyone (both made and non-made) from a different crew or group who wanted to operate in their areas, first they HAD TO RECEIVE "OK" from the non-Italian representative or leader of those same territories.
The non-Italian representative also had JURISDICTION OVER both Italian made members and non-made guys, or over certain crews with non-Italian crew bosses and Italian capos, who operated all of the previously mentioned rackets and contacts in their (non-Ital) areas.
The Italian boss was able to DEMOTE the non-Italian representatives from their position, same as their Italian (made) accomplices. (this information comes from a wiretapped convo between two made members).

Re: Non-Italians and the Chicago Outfit
I know this is old information but still, I think we are looking at one possible "picture" on how the Outfit's board of directors looked like during the mid 1940's.
As we all know, by 1943 Frank Nitto was dead while the rest of the possible members of the Outfit's board of directors such as Phil D'Andrea, Charlie Gioe and Frank Maritote were jailed, including the boss Paul Ricca and the alleged underboss Louie Campagna, regarding the Hollywood extortion case.
This info comes from Dan Serritella who was First Ward representative for the Outfit from 1930 until 1942, which means he really knew the Capone group since the early days and so in 1946, Serritela mentioned the following syndicate members who carried on all "Capone activities":
With most of the top level guys behind bars or dead, my personal opinion is (to be honest, backed only by three or four sources which I posted in the past) that in 1944 Charles Fischetti was one of the most senior and high level members and he probably became the main leader, whether acting or official, who by 1946 possibly groomed Accardo to take the boss position. The next year, Accardo allegedly became the official boss.
If this is true, than the more senior "members" on the Outfit's board of directors were Jake Guzik, Rocco Fischetti and Tony Capezio.
I also believe there was the same relationship between Guzik and Humphreys at the time, with the one which occurred later between Humphreys and Alex. For example, both Humphreys and Alex were present and voted on the meeting when they nixed the help for Capone's son. In fact it was Humphreys who allegedly inherited Guzik's position on the BOD with Alex right next to him, who in turn later succeeded Humphreys.

Re: Non-Italians and the Chicago Outfit
So, what you're really saying is that a few of these high level Non-Italian guys in Chicago were actually "members" of the Chicago Outfit and actually held positions just like other Italian made guys, but were not members of the American Mafia. If so, that makes a lot of sense and seems to have been unique to Chicago.Villain wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:44 am As I previously showed you, we obviously have evidences regarding the EXISTENCE of a non-Italian group within the Chicago Outfit, with their own OFFICIAL POSITION on the syndicate's "round table" or the board of directors.

Re: Non-Italians and the Chicago Outfit
Lets get back to topic since this is a Mafia forum (screw all the guys with their stupid secret agendas and later with their "snagglepuss exit stage left" shit lol).....
Previously I posted one evidence in the form of wiretapped convo regarding the conflict between Frank "One Ear" Fratto (Daddono crew) and the Ferraro/Alex crew, in which it was stated that Ferraro and Alex were about to be "DEMOTED" from their positions on a LOWER LEVEL STATUS, but nothing happened meaning it was only a false rumor and they kept their positions.
Now we will see one quite interesting wiretapped convo regarding the start of that same conflict, in which Outfit "MEMBER" Les Kruse complained to Ferraro and Alex regarding the Daddono crew taking over some of their spots in 1960, possibly around the Lake County area that was previously under the jurisdiction of Kruse's former mentor and capo Rocco Fischetti. DuPage County was under the auspices of the Daddono crew, a territory which is near Lake County.
Since Kruse was the real "boss" of that area, it wasnt for Fischetti to contact the underboss (Ferraro) and Alex, but obviously that was Kruse's job who had to follow protocol like the rest of the Italian capos and non-Ital crew bosses.
The FBI suspected that it was another "Les", not the real Les Kruse but the problem is that during those days there wasnt any other Outfit guy named "Les" who was near DuPage County, and on top of that he stated "He's taking our spots", which again is a proof for being Les Kruse since he belonged to the Ferraro/Alex group aka the South Side faction. On top of that, Les Kruse had the position to go straight to the underboss or boss.
In the conversation we can see that after Kruse's complaint, at first Ferraro didnt believe the situation but Kruse later explained the details.
The most interesting part is when ALEX TOLD FERRARO to call Fratto and to tell him that "I'LL CHASE YOU OUT OF THERE". We dont know if Alex talks in his name or he is telling Ferraro to talk in his own name, although I think it is the first one.
And the last most interesting statement made by Alex was "we'll take care of it", which again confirms Alex's position as mediator and as boss in his own right.
Kruse left the meeting by saying "thank you, thank you", like he was talking to two "Mafia Dons".
This is just another evidence regarding Alex's status during those days, which gave his power to send threats to Italian made members from different crews, and in fact during those days the Daddono crew was allegedly one of the most dangerous and largest West Side groups.
Heres the whole convo:
