Dom “I want to be the voice for Hispanic women” Cicale.
I literally spit my drink out. This is the greatest comment in forum history. Cheers tony!
Haha, it’s just what Cicale claims to be doing with his new push in the public spotlight. He wants to be the voice of the voiceless, which apparently comprises Hispanic women and Barney Bellomo.
It definitely would be a better nickname than Joe “Cardboard Box” Marsala, lol.
His real name is Domenican Cicale.
Lmfaooo
That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

2003 artie nigro was street boss. Mario Gigante was in the administration. Daniel Leo was acting probably underboss. I think Dom cirillo was still a boss. So it had to be one of those guys. But chin was official till he died it was picked up on some guy recording angelo prisco to

He started as an associate of Ernie Muscarella and could be referring to him -- might be why he won't name him. He was acting boss when Cicale was coming up with Basciano but I don't know if they overlapped in the short period after Gigante died and Cicale cooperated. Anyone know if Cicale and Muscarella were housed together?
I could see him being under the impression Muscarella took over as boss but claiming to be formally introduced is another story and would mean:
- Gigante stepped down before he died and Cicale met the new boss on the street or in prison between 2003 and December 2005. - When Gigante died the Genovese quickly elected a new boss and Cicale met him in prison during the short window before he flipped between late December 2005 and January 2006.
- Cicale was introduced to an acting boss at some point and confused it or the wording was vague (i.e. they introduced him as "the boss" but didn't mention he was acting).
He could have invented or exaggerated a hot take to get attention but I try not to dismiss claims right away without knowing more context. The Genovese Family has such a complicated history with its official admin that we shouldn't be surprised if there are different accounts.
Did any of the other member CIs who were around 2003-2006 talk about the Genovese hierarchy? Massino must have but his knowledge cut off after January 2005.
Was it not likely that Chin chose a successor before he died?
There's just no evidence that an official boss was named. Danny Leo was acting boss around the time Gigante died and I believe there were some reports that he could become official but that never happened. What is unclear is the Genovese leadership between Leo going away and Barney reportedly taking over as official boss. We have a report in 2009 stating Barney, Dentico, Tino, Muscarella and Cirillo were all in charge in some capacity but all these guys were on paper so who was actually running things on the streets?
Why would the Genovese elect a front boss, then introduce a captain from another family to the official Boss.
ESPECIALLY to a family which was imploding with rats
Bullshit.

The Bonannos were imploding with rats and the Westside are going to give 'made for a year' Dominic Cicale the inside scoop?
Bullshit.
I think he was close to Muscarella or someone in the Westside which why he is saying he knows. I don't think it had anything to do with his stature in the Bonannos. Maybe he rapped about Westside and Eastside beefs and the Westside was shook
I'm surprised people are even entertaining this, though maybe I shouldn't be.
The next guy to take over officially following Chin would be very significant news and it doesn't get mentioned anywhere, by any other informer, law enforcement source, or reporter? Meanwhile, during that time at least a dozen other guys are identified as either the acting boss or on the ruling panel at one point or another. But Chin's official successor remains unknown until nearly 20 years later when Cicale tells the world on his podcast? Except not because he doesn't even mention a name. C'mon.

Isn’t the Westside known for not only hiding who their true leaders are from other families, but also doing it to members within their own family… like hiding admin level info from their own soldiers?
I mean, these guys invented the entire concept of a front boss.
It’s entirely they told the Bonannos one thing, while the truth was really something else.
