Nick Gentile wrote that c1928 Joe "the Boss" Masseria called in Al Capone after Chicago Mafia boss Tony Lombardo told him to stop paying tribute since he wasn't a member. In New York, Masseria made Capone a capodecina in his borgata and gave him the authority to make ten men. About forty years later we see Crazy Joe Gallo using this same formula.

Mary Ferrell Foundation Sues Biden and National Archives

Post by Antiliar »

The Mary Ferrell Foundation is suing the Biden administration and the National Archives to completely open up the JFK assassination collection to the public. While they're obviously more interested in the CIA-JFK material, this might be a boon to researchers like us who want to read the files without all of the redactions. If MFF is successful we'll still encounter some redactions, but maybe fewer than what we have now. The FBI still has redactions in the old John Dillinger, Al Capone, and Baby Face Nelson files from the 1930s. It's ridiculous, so I hope MFF scores a big win.

Here's an article about Mary Ferrell and her JFK assassination records collection. The US government released more files this week. I gave them the once over for Intel interesting for Mafia researchers but didn't notice anything new.

I did some searches and didn't find any new that's related to organized crime. There is apparently a little that's new when it comes to the CIA. The biggest takeaway from this is that the government is still covering up. Other researches found documents with little text because they're heavily redacted. Based on this, my expectations are low for the next release in June 2023. It would take an order from a Congress and a President willing to fight for openness to really get the truth out, and that's not going to happen.

This is a brilliant article are there more links to more of Greco's memoirs?
Also if Greco's family was what sounds like a mafia dynasty with history going over a century, why was Gaetano Badalamenti the comission boss at the time or better yet, what kind of standing did Greco have with the other Palermitan families at the time that he chose to back Leggio against the historical Palermo family clans
