Samuel Boyd? Origin:
Lena Origin:

TOBY FREDIE BOYD

DOB: Oct 13 1926

F: Sam Boyd [Family from Campobasso, Molise, Italy]
M: Lena “Lillian” D'Ambola [From Forino, Avellino, Campania, Italy]
W: Rose DeStefano

Address: 19 Zapata Ct, Toms River, NJ
Previous Addresses: 1 Spruce Ln, Pinebrook, NJ; 28 N 10th St, Newark, NJ; 16 Factory St, Newark, NJ
Death: Mar 8 2004

The Boyd family was in Newark by the late 1880s and they had anglicized their name making them hard to track. I think I have the right ones, but Sam Boyd was definitely of Italian descent.

Boyd sounds like it could have been Boiardo.

I had a similar thought.

Interstingly, Anthony Boiardo was also known as Tony Boyd

Boiardos were Avellinese so if it was a relative it could come from the maternal side. Not aware of Campobasso heritage with the Boiardos like Boyd's paternal heritage.

I’m not 100% on the Boyd family being from Campobasso. This was Sam Boyd’s 1915 census, the earliest record that I could find:

Generoso Del Duca (1950s - 1960s) died
Patsy Del Duca (1960s - 1964) died
Vincenzo Generoso (1964 - 1970s?)
Mickey Dimino (1970s - 1990s)
I don't think so. Del Duca seems to have been in Brooklyn with the Generosos/DiMinos were in Westchester county.
I get the impression that Del Duca had a very old crew. Instead of the Del Duca's crew forming out of the remnants of Mike Miranda's old crew, I wonder if some of Miranda's men were added to Del Duca's already existing crew.

My theory is that Del Duca was a captain since at least the 1940s, if not way earlier. Del Duca is a guy without much info on even with his FBI File. I'm doing FOIA on his brother Patsy Del Duca who took over the crew. Hopefully some good info there.

Looking at members of the crew like Ralph Ferraro, Joe Scarpinito, Salvatore DeMarco etc. seems like a pretty old decina.

Would you happen to have Mike Miranda's file? That one could be important.

This is pretty clearly wrong.

Do we agree that Pasquale Del Duca was a capo in '63? This is what an updated look at these crews would be:

Pasquale Del Duca Crew
Camillo Parisi
John Del Duca
Joseph Santaniello
Joseph Scarpinito
Matthew Principe
Peter Dolce
Ralph Dolce
Ralph Ferraro
Salvatore DeMarco

Harry Lanza Crew

Peter Marino
Ralph Polizio

Salvatore Maiorana

The FBI carried Patsy Del Duca on a list of captains and the wiretap we've discussed implies he's the captain "Patsy" who died in 1964. He belongs on the list in my opinion.

Adding to the confusion though is LCNBios had Peter Dolce as a possible capodecina alongside Toddo Del Duca in 1957. We as researchers have a tendency to assume succession is more straightforward than it actually is, so if Dolce and Del Duca were both captains at the same time we don't know what actually happened when Toddo died given crews are often split, select members are reassigned, etc.

This Matthew Billiteri was born and lived in Buffalo, NY.

His brother was Albert Billiteri who’s listed as a Buffalo member. They were living together there at the time of the 1940 census. Also, the bday matches the one in the dead list.

He lived in LA in the ‘40s based off his WW2 draft card, but as far as I can tell, he was never in the NYC area. Not sure why they listed him as a Genovese member.

Matthew Billiteri could possibly be the Genovese member being identified below. Tuscarelli is Michael "Torch" Tascarella.

It appears Contaldo wasn't under Lanza/Maiorana until the 1970s.

Pasquale Del Duca should definitely be on the list. A FBI Informant stated that after Toddo's death, a meeting was held where it was determined that Patsy took over (this info can be found in Generoso Del Duca's FBI File in the FBI FIle section).

Carmelo 'Charley Banana' Coppolino seems to have been under Rosario Mogavero/Rocco Pellegrino. He was under Mogavero by 68
