Inendino did a considerable amount of time for having been a snitch at one point - correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the Outfit using a lot of false informants and false information during this time period to fuck with the Feds? I wonder if guys in the Outfit knew this - he was with the Wild Bunch in the 70s right and doing hits? It's kind of hard to believe a Harry Aleman type or some of these guys he's associated with to work with a guy who was giving tips - I just wonder if it was known or not.

This could be one of the FBI unknown informants the FBI was talking about in the late 2000. I will say I am very shocked about this. Jimmy I was considered old school and very respected across the USA. And he did time. Wonder if this is a smear job by the FBI that they are known to to like they did for that Gambino underboss
It says he gave info on "truck hijackings" in the late 60s and mid-70s. It doesn't specify if he gave any info past that time period, though.
Yeah sounds like it was just limited to hijackings and was way before he was made
My guess is there are a lot of guys that did this sort of thing. If he had anything damning, he wouldn't have served a quarter of his life behind bars.

It said he served 25 years at McNeil Island in Washington. That’s a federal prison. Anyone know what he was convicted of? Was that the case from the late 70s for Extortion?

Also, what years was Jimmy I made? I’m guessing 90s

I think this is probably pretty much it.

At the risk of dredging up the nonsense going on in the Mancuso thread, Scott B recently mentioned in one of his podcasts he'd heard that some of the FOs in OC cities other than NY have basically been encouraged to not bring non violent cases. Any thoughts as to maybe this is part of the reason we dont see more indictments/busts? Its an interesting possibility.

Most likely between his release from prison around 1989 and when he started serving his second sentence in 2002. So, yeah, probably the 90s.

I just saw online that he did 10 years from 1978 to 1988. I’m guessing that is the time line for when he was doing the 25 year bid at McNeil Island. 10 years out of 25 years for federal time is a BIG break

This was back when they still had federal parole, though. The casino skim guys were sentenced to 28 years in prison and served only 10.

Thanks Cavita.

Charles Argento was the organizer of the Italian Master Bakers association, James DeGeorge was a business agent for that same association and one of their prime lieutenants Julius Anschell was the main book keeper. Since he was involved in the union business, Argento also possibly knew Anthony D’Andrea, the brother of Phil D’Andrea. Argentos car was allegedly on Anthony's name or something like that.

Argento was also partner in the Italian Importing and Manufacturing Company in Chinatown and another one in Cicero i think.

Joe Provenzano, Tony Jerfita, Fred Petitti and John Liberto were all partners in a saloon which was located on W Grand Av, near the area in which DeGeorge also had his own bakery business, which is possible that all of these guys knew each other or were associates either under Toto Loverde or maybe someone else.

After the murder of Loverde in November 1931, Argento was also later killed in August 1932, while being in the company of DeGeorge and also Julius Anshell, who in turn both allegedly entered Argento’s office when two men shot him to death and ran out of the room.

There are pages from his fbi file floating around the internet and if they are real they confirm he was an informant from March ‘65 to May ‘69 and again from May ‘71 to March ‘75.

So once you wade through all the idiots in the comments on the fb page, Joe Lopez brings up an interesting point…why are the feds leaking this now?

I see Antillar brings up the possibility of a former agent. Maybe, seems odd a retired agent would take this as a souvenir.

I don't think the feds leaked it, I think someone (ex-law enforcement, John Binder) gave it to Goudie once Inendino died.

Very true. Thanks for reminding me.

Heard the FBI was out in full force at that wake. They had a van parked across the street. A lot of interesting people supposedly went.
