Philly guy whose son is in NHL

Re: Philly guy whose son is in NHL
Posted this in the Philly section last summer. Not sure if he is made but he's definitely around these guys. I believe in an interview in the past DeAngelo said his dad was a mortgage broker or something similar.

No, but a lawyer being a made guy sounds like some Mustache Pete thing from 100 years ago.Newyorkempire wrote: ↑Tue Feb 07, 2023 7:34 pm Besides law enforcement is there any profession a member cant have???

Lawyers, Doctors, Priests, Professors, Ex corrections officers, ex police and I think Chicago had current members who were also police.
Louis Boschetto was a suspected member who was also a United States Senator.

Another suspected member Vito Marcantonio was a Congressman.

Re: Philly guy whose son is in NHL
Frank DePasquale hasn't been confirmed as a member as far as I can tell, though he could be carried as a suspected member. During the Ligambi trial, a police officer testified about surveillance she took part in during the 2009 Christmas party. Several more people attended the gathering, but she was only asked to identify the following individuals specifically:
- Anthony Staino
- Joseph Ligambi
- Joseph Licata
- Louis Fazzini
- Vincent Centorino (whom the officer wasn't able to identify)
- Martin Angelina
- Joseph Massimino
- Steven Mazzone
- Michael Lancellotti
- Martin Curro
- Anthony Nicodemo
- Eric Esposito
- Frank Gambino
- Gaeton Lucibello
- Frank Narducci Jr
- Frank DePasquale
Everyone listed above is a confirmed member apart from DePasquale. He may have been made, he may not have. It'd be odd to include one associate in a list of confirmed members but not inconceivable. I wouldn't carry him as a member based solely off this testimony.

Wow. So even being ex law enforcement are not barred. Members are not excluded based on profession whatsoever. It seems the opposite. The better placed job, the more qualified they are assumed to be a memberjohnny_scootch wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 8:07 amLawyers, Doctors, Priests, Professors, Ex corrections officers, ex police and I think Chicago had current members who were also police.

Like everything else it depends on who you know. Take Sal Vitale the ex corrections officer and ex Bonanno family Underboss he got straightened out and turned out to be a rat but a guy like Ronnie Filocomo is barred for same reason yet he’s a stand up guy his whole life.Newyorkempire wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 8:48 am

Good point. As Sal was an in law of Massino, his profession may have been overlooked simply because of interfamilial relations.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Wed Feb 08, 2023 9:05 amLike everything else it depends on who you know.
