I wish he would reveal who he heard is the new Lucchese underboss already.

It was assumed. JP stated if he did what he did and Vic was out, he'd be in the back of a trunk.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 4:32 am Was it explicitly said he was shelved? Or is this an assumption because of the circumstances?
And the crime was so egregious you'd be hard pressed to come to any other conclusion. Ripping off a million dollars from the boss.
Additionally every one was instructed to pay him no mind etc.
It's hard to conclude he wasn't shelved.

Personally, I would never call a drug pusher - heroin - a man's man. I also think he's a selfish sociopath like most considering how he fucked over this guy out of a substantial payout for doing time. He's focused on himself - it would make me think twice about cutting off his money supply when he went back to prison. He could fuck the entire family like Massino did.Teflon Dom wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 8:04 pmNot really amazing. He is a man's man. Not Like Lil Pennisi, rat at the first sign of trouble lolNorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Thu Jan 05, 2023 4:57 pmIt's amazing a guy like that wouldn't flip. He's done nearly 3/4 of his life in a prison cell - I'm surprised they would shelve him for fear that he refuses to end his life there.

I feel like we see so many rats, undercover etc that we are surprised when someone doesn't flip. Like they should be rewarded or something. But in the culture of the mob ratting is just a general rule and it's what your supposed to do. So not flipping is kind of laissez-faire

Wouldn’t Pennisi have come out and said ‘Matty got shelved”? he was on the street when this went down.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 10:08 amIt was assumed. He was Vic’s chosen guy who knows maybe they let him keep a stripe.
It’s also abundantly clear that while Vic is the official Boss not all of his orders are carried out.
Re: John Pennisi Sighting / Sit Down News
Pennisi comes off as an arrogant dick now. Him and his high falutin moral code that nobody lived by, but him. He can these stories without giving his personal opinion. Someone like himself who "stands by" some journalism code show know you don't interject personal feelings into a storyline. But he's the only one that follows this ambiguous journalism code. He is making excuses so we don't think hes a pussy

Re: John Pennisi Sighting / Sit Down News
Agreed Pennisi didn't explicitly state 'Matty's on the shelf', but I don't think anything else can be inferred. He stated Matty would be in the back of a trunk if Vic was on the streets, if that's not a shelving, I don't know what is, especially considering what went down. A million of Vics own money.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 12:44 pm Wouldn’t Pennisi have come out and said ‘Matty got shelved”? he was on the street when this went down.

John also stated all his income on the streets was taken and nobody was allowed to even give the guy commissary.
Yes he didn't come out and say it specifically, so some people won't believe it, but if he's not on the shelf? Nobodies on the shelf.

Ahh okay, rats are much better. I can see why you would defend that.NorthBuffalo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 10:27 amPersonally, I would never call a drug pusher - heroin - a man's man. You’re not wrong but that technicality makes a big difference especially for a guy in prison.SonnyBlackstein wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 7:17 pm

True, but I just don't see how Vic can't shelve him. What message does that send.johnny_scootch wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:42 pm You’re not wrong but that technicality makes a big difference especially for a guy in prison.
'You can pocket the bosses mill and all he'll do is take away your commissary?"
Prob not the msg Vic wants to send.
Vic has to wash his hands of Matty. Has too.

You're the one making the comparison. No one's defending shit.Teflon Dom wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 7:43 pm Ahh okay, rats are much better. I can see why you would defend that.
The only point is that if you think a man's man is someone who pushes heroin, you don't know what you're talking about.

Interesting theory, you got a link to this clip?CabriniGreen wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 8:51 pm I saw one recently that wasn't exactly far fetched.... just a theory I hadn't heard or considered before.
Pennisi did one on Badalamenti asking Ndrangheta for help in the war vs the Corleonesi.
He had Badalamenti trying to get Buscetta to help him by going to Brazil. When Buscetta refuses, Pennisi said Buscetta suspected BADALAMENTI, not the Corleonesi of hitting his SONS, as an enticement to get into the war.
At first I was like, " Da fuck is Pennissi talking about"...
But his wording..." He thought Badalamenti might have pulled a Machiavellian move on him..". Honestly I thought of Gommorah, Ciro, Enzo, and Genny and I really started to think hard about it.
Is it possible Badalamenti hit Buscettas sons, hoping he would think Riina did it and go all out vs the Corleone guys? I mean, if he could do that, why not target an actual enemy? Any thoughts?
Re: John Pennisi Sighting / Sit Down News
oh gosh, totally bullshit. buscetta sons were killed by Pippo Calò's men, one of them personally killed by Calò himself
