I know that there’s been talk about this before about Frank’s dad being involved but is there any relation between John Cullotta and Frank Cullotta?

I’m not 100% sure, but I’d think probably not in any close way. I suspect that the guy here was Giovanni Cullotta from Altavilla Milicia, while Joe Cullotta Sr, Frank’s dad, was born in Chicago to parents from Cefalù.Southshore88 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 7:01 pm I know that there’s been talk about this before about Frank’s dad being involved but is there any relation between John Cullotta and Frank Cullotta?

As we’ve seen, lots of surnames and old links between the Arbereshe colonies, as they were very endogamous.B. wrote: ↑Sat Dec 10, 2022 6:22 pm Ok, good to know. When I looked into the Bonanno Canzoneris I saw they had relatives from Prizzi but didn't see Mezzojuso though I didn't look that deep.
Other names that jump out on the list are Joe Franzone and "Cammarata". Wonder if that could be Emanuele since he spent time in Chicago. I'm sure his cousin Profaci mingled with the Bagherese guys like Aiello when he was in Chicago. He gets called neutral during the Castellammarese War but we know he secretly sympathized with the Castellammarese side that Aiello was part of.
Nello was the first thing I thought when I saw “Cammarata” also, but who knows. We don’t even have a first initial to go with and there were a ton of Cammaratas in Chicago from all over. There were also several Giuseppe Franzones in Chicago from Borgetto, not sure which one this might’ve been (though it’s a good chance they were all related anyway). One of them (born 1898 in Borgetto) indeed was an older brother of Jimmy Franzone.
There’s also a Mike Cirone on there. Could be one of the Cerones from Muro Lucano, but I think it’s more likely to have been the Michele Cirone born in 1890 in Tèrmini Imerese.

Yeah and funny enough people were writing him off the cancer back in the 2000s.

Sarno is a real stand up guy.

It's a new morning in America... fresh, vital. The old cynicism is gone. We have faith in our leaders. We're optimistic as to what becomes of it all. It really boils down to our ability to accept. We don't need pessimism. There are no limits.

I’m not so sure Sarno really has lost both of his legs like Scott has mentioned in his article. I also heard Jimmy I is sick and needs an oxygen tank and that Solly D has cancer. Not sure if any of those are true.

Either way, he is in MCFP Springfield, which is never a good sign.Patrickgold wrote: ↑Tue Dec 13, 2022 6:36 am I’m not so sure Sarno really has lost both of his legs like Scott has mentioned in his article.
