You see the end of this article here. They said ...."nothing to do with mafia activities." You will not get that kind of transparency here in the states. If some mob guy here do the same thing no doubt they would try and fold it into a Rico even if it had nothing to do with his affiliation with the mobantimafia wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 1:59 pm Nicola Spagnolo coupable de voies de faits graves

If we can minimize the number of comments that are going to be made about Silva's lawyer's previous and most infamous client, it'll be a good thing. But as always, let's allow the moderators to step in if necessary.

An update on Cazzetta. Lapresse is reporting that he wasn't kicked out of the HA but has transferred to the South Chapter in Quebec. He was at the HA event that took place this weekend. It looks like he had some issues with the Montreal chapter and they barred him from wearing his patch in recent months.
Sources told us that the biker would have been "boxed" for a while. The word comes from the English expression patch in the box , which means that the organization would have forbidden him to wear his jacket and his colors for a certain period, the time to settle one or more situations.

That’s the guy, Adriana. My Uncle Tony. The guy I’m going to hell for.

What is Francesco Del Balso up to these days? As one of the younger guys that was around when Vito was, he was always one of the guys that interested me, same as Giordano.
Has he risen to a leadership position yet? What’s his status?
Btw, thank you Antimafia for your tireless contributions.

I'll scour the Le parloir book about Mom Boucher again, as one of the co-authors indicated on Twitter that the book has some information about Salvatore Cazzetta's problems within the HA. But to be honest, I don't think I'm going to find the issues spelled out in the book.
Cazzetta and Boucher became archenemies a long time ago at a certain point.

You're welcome, Mickey. Lots of posters here also keep on top of the comings and goings.MickeyMeatballs wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 7:19 am What is Francesco Del Balso up to these days? The last fairly recent article (en français) that mentioned Del Balso indicated he's hanging around the "mafia" less and less (quotation marks are mine) and with Hells Angels more and more. Go figure.

Exactly a week ago, Daniel Renaud's colleague made an interesting comment on Twitter when he quote-tweeted the newspaper's tweet that linked to the above article.antimafia wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 9:21 am If we can minimize the number of comments that are going to be made about Silva's lawyer's previous and most infamous client, it'll be a good thing. Ça prend beaucoup de guts. Tous les avocats refusaient de le prendre comme client depuis qu’il a commencé à se mettre à table.

So Larouche's opinion is that other criminal lawyers didn't want to take hitman Silva on as a client because Silva is cooperating with the authorities -- which may mean that these lawyers, save one, are afraid of defending someone who's going to name people in the Italian underworld.

As mentioned earlier, he tried to extort a convent recently and somebody tried to kill him shortly thereafter. So business as usual apparently.MickeyMeatballs wrote: ↑Wed Dec 14, 2022 7:19 am What is Francesco Del Balso up to these days?
